24.01.2022 After starting the season with a solid win against Spotswood, our 17bs boys have had a few narrow losses over the last few weeks and bounced back today with a comprehensive win over Newport. Newport scored 4/81 off their allocated 25 overs with only 5 extras bowled by the Sharks for the while innings. A great effort by the team to be tight with the ball and in the field. Over to the batting and we started a little shakey with openers both gone early at 2/20. At this stage we... welcomed Darcy Chambers and Manaav Kapoor to the crease who quickly steadied the ship to take control of the game. Manaav went on to compulsory retire after 40 balls with a very handy 35 runs including two very big sixes. Manaav was very well supported by Josh Bell who ended in 10 not out after 35 balls and a very quick fire 17 of 8 balls by Jack Kenny iced the game with 4 overs remaining to seal the 2nd win of the season for the team. Well done Sharks.
23.01.2022 Congratulations to this weeks Golden Bat award winner Amey Sikka for his 81* in the 3rds against Hoppers Crossing last weekend
22.01.2022 U11A West Gold Friday beat Bellbridge Blue 163/2 vs 87. We witnessed some great batting from U11A SLCC team with Aahil scoring 35no (1 six and 6 fours), Abhik 19no (3 fours) and Maksim 18no (3 fours). SLCC team then performed a spectacular display of bowling and fielding taking 3 superb catches and 7 run outs. Macgregor bowled extremely well and his leg breaks flight balls were unplayable as he took 3/12 in 3 overs. It was a great team effort displayed by our young players on a hot Friday evening.
20.01.2022 Please see attached senior training schedule
19.01.2022 U11A West Gold Friday showed another disciplined day on Friday against Bellbridge Red. After putting into bat, our team scored 7/184 (Aahil28; Abhik27; Maksim23). Our bowling was very accurate helped by some brilliant fielding as we reduced Bellbridge to 9/62 (Maksim 4/4; Macgregor 2/4). Team is bonding well, backing up each other and importantly enjoying and having fun.
19.01.2022 Fantastic day out for our Second XI & the Bouwer family! Dad Alen made 143 & son Wian made 83 not out as the seconds made 3/326 off their 40 overs. Alen & Wian also put on a 206 run first wicket partnership! The rest of the boys then backed it up in the field and bowled Barkly Street out for 91 to give the team their second win of the season! Well Done Guys!!

14.01.2022 Hi All, Please see latest email update from the VTCA
11.01.2022 Today our Under 15 B team played United Tarneit @ Featherbrook winning, 4/166 to 10/38. Our captain, Wian lost his first toss for the season and was sent into the field (he would have chosen to bowl anyway ). Our boys did an amazing job with the ball Siddarth Anand took 5/7 off 3 and Zane Jackson took 3/4 off 2.2, with only 1 run coming off the bat. Our batsman also performed beautifully, we retired 5 batsmen after 20-30 balls, so thankfully, everyone got to have a bat. Wian... Bouwer top scored with 25 (retired) and Siddarth came in at number 10 to score 23 n/o. A great effort by our boys, but also played in a great spirit by United Tarneit. We passed their score in the 7th over, but they played on with their heads held high for another 17 overs - allowing both teams to play plenty of cricket and all the boys (from both teams) to get involved. See more

09.01.2022 Both our u16 comibened Lakes/Hoppers Crossing teams had wins on Wednesday night against Druids and Gellibrand respectively. Summer top scored in the game against Druids, making her highest score ever while Kayla top scored against Gellibrand. Wickets were shared across the girls. Both teams have won both games this season so are setting up for an interesting intra-club contest later on the season. Most importantly, all the girls had a great time!!!

06.01.2022 Our Under 13 girls faced last year’s premiers Werribee for the second week in a row tonight. After a hard week last week that saw them loose 21 wickets for 71 they had trained hard this week. Sent into bat our girls really impressed and set the opposition 11/121 to chase. While Werribee did eventually pass our target with 6/174 due to some power hitting at the death, our girls were right in there until the last 5 overs. Every member of the team performed to the next level abo...ve last week. Stand out performances from Evie with 15, Illeana with 12, Alexis with 11 and Elizmaree who took 2 catches with the gloves. Player of the match was Esme who chased every ball in the field with intensity taking a catch and gaining 2 wickets with her bowling. All our girls left the field heads held high having given the game 110% and showed they are a force to be reckoned with this season.
05.01.2022 Senior cricket back underway with our Thirds taking on Forsyth United at Featherbrook. If you are free and in the area come down and support the boys! #GoSharks
02.01.2022 Our Under 17Bs have started strong winning their first game. We were chasing 67 to win and made 125 off 25 overs. Great effort to the team and also to Manaav, who made 61 not out of 40 balls. Don’t they look great in their new uniforms thanks to our wonderful shirt sponsors

01.01.2022 SLCC U17As won their first match of the season against Newport Digman. Newport batted first and scored 4/136 (Ben2/17). In response SLCC reached the target with one over to spare, the innings ended at 9/149 (Gurnoor 41no, Taaha 41). An entertaining cricket with ball flying out the boundary on few occasions, some good bowling and fielding.
