06.05.2022 For all our patients and regular visitors, you will have seen this sign at our door. And just letting you all know - it remains in place at this time. Having mask is a condition of entry, has been a considered decision and supported by our Principal GP, Dr Graham Walter. We would really appreciate you bringing your own mask but if you are not wearing one you will be given one and asked to wear it. Please be kind to the staff on the door - they are doing a brilliant job... of carrying out the procedures put in place by Dr Walter and management. And yes - we are aware of the recent updates from the NSW Government to masks and are happy to see the state makes steps to open up. It’s just not time for our practice to take the masks off yet. We have lots of vulnerable patients and need to be a bit more careful. Thanks for understanding

25.01.2022 Today is #WorldOsteoporosisDay, a timely reminder to consider your bone health. Osteoporosis is the underlying cause of painful, debilitating and life-threateni...ng broken bones known as fragility fractures. It is a growing problem, with fragility fractures affecting one in three women and one in five men over the age of 50. As bone loss is gradual and painless, there are usually no symptoms to indicate when someone is developing osteoporosis. If you are experiencing height loss, previous fractures, or have a family history of osteoporosis, consider making an appointment with your doctor to assess your risk. World Osteoporosis Day
23.01.2022 Having a health check provides important health information for you and your doctor. Staying on top of your health is important. It helps to identify potential illnesses or chronic diseases before they occur. It is much easier to look at ways to prevent these things from occurring, rather than treatment. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Check is designed to support the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients o...f all ages. It is free assessment done with the practice nurse and your doctor every 9 months. Please call the practice on 4953 8244 to make your appointment.

10.01.2022 Remembrance Day is an important event for both veterans and the broader community to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.... Australians have paused to reflect and pay tribute on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month since 1918. Although Remembrance Day will be different this year, Australians are encouraged to observe one minute’s silence at 11am in their homes, schools or workplaces, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. This year, due to COVID, groups of up to 100 people may gather for Remembrance Day services across NSW, provided they adhere to social distancing measures and have a COVID-19 Safety Plan in place. Alternatively, you can tune into the NSW Remembrance Day service on www.nsw.gov.au/remembranceday
