22.01.2022 Been a while since weve played at this beautiful chapel. Todays wedding at @interconsanc

21.01.2022 Celebrating the easing of restrictions by joining Brisbane soprano Eva Kong for a little appropriately socially distant street music today @ 4PM.

21.01.2022 Looking back on a beautiful wedding. Grateful that were able to do this in Queensland and hoping our friends interstate can come out to play soon

21.01.2022 Looking into the future.

20.01.2022 We may not be able to perform for you right now... but were ready.

19.01.2022 Todays recording session. A little different. Happy to be back at it.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone - its almost the end of another week without any live performances, so heres a recording of Dan playing both parts of the Wieniawski violin etudes in our living room. These were originally composed as studies for Wieniawski to play with his students, and despite being written as technical studies, they are beautiful! Well be recording some string quartets in the next little bit so if theres anything youd like to hear feel free to let us know!

18.01.2022 It’s easy to forget that as musicians we have the privilege of being a part of moments that will be remembered forever. Magnificent wedding proposals... AFL Grand Finals where Geelong win and Gary Ablett Jr retires with a final premiership flag... moments like those...

17.01.2022 Well that was a bit special. Beautiful ceremony in Blackheath today from a couple who had to postpone from last year. It’s been a helluva year - so good to see people making their dreams happen in spite of it all

17.01.2022 Live performances might be on hold, but were not out of action. Were continuing to receive bookings for 2021 as well as commissions for string quartet versions of special songs for your special day.

17.01.2022 We still have each other.

16.01.2022 What does music mean to you?

16.01.2022 What does it take? More than you will ever know.

15.01.2022 Were ready. nuff said.

15.01.2022 Grange Library staff are amazing. After getting this mornings QLD health update, Sue and the team adapted to make sure the event went ahead safely and following guidelines. Were not shut down yet so fingers crossed for more in the future! Also thanks Ben Shepherd for the photo FYI tomorrows concert is going ahead as Saccharomyces has a COVID safe plan.

14.01.2022 Stoked to send a string section back to work in the magical Old Museum Building to record with Megan Washington.

14.01.2022 2020’s coming to a close - happy to put a button on that one and look forward to the year ahead! We have weddings booked in for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in 2021, and experienced professional musicians based all around the country. For more info visit www.sanctuarystringquartet.com

14.01.2022 The ultimate tour wagon. 3 years and a lot of awesome memories. Thanks @vwaustralia

14.01.2022 Maybe its time for a proper introduction. My names Dan, Im a violinist and founding violinist of Sanctuary String Quartet. We began our journey in 2007 as four music students at @uniofqld and Ive been managing the business nationally with my wife and cellist @ellicelli since 2013. As a violinist I work with @qsorchestra and @operaaustralia and put orchestras together for commercial shows around the country for @australiansessionorchestra. Its been a quiet few months but things are starting to roll again. If youre planning a wedding or event wed love to chat. Visit us at www.sanctuarystringquartet.com

13.01.2022 Sanctuary String Quartet was born in 2007. We were four uni students studying music at the @uniofqld and our very first concert was here at @customshousebne performing works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

12.01.2022 Love never fails

11.01.2022 Theres something beautiful in the room you can only feel in real life... Bring back the magic of live music :)

11.01.2022 The finale in our 3 part series at @saccharomycesbeercafe tonight. Weve been sold out for the past 4 weeks, so weve laid off the internet for a bit but we will be posting some photos from tonight. So much gratitude to everyone whos come along. Theres more good stuff in the pipeline so stay safe and stay tuned

10.01.2022 Keep a weathered ear out for @joeljacksonofficial ‘s new single. Dan joined the strings team put together by @clarekahn with @georgieprice on viola. Grateful to have squeezed in one last gig before the current lockdown, and looking forward to when Sydney can get back into it. In the meantime, stay safe everyone. : @hugh_h : @hustlemediaau

09.01.2022 This was our first wedding out of lockdown last year in Queensland. Grateful for how the industry has bounced back since then (work in progress), and for all the amazing suppliers and coordinators we’ve met along the way.

09.01.2022 A special Mother’s day trio in Brisbane today. Amazing musicians and wonderful people

08.01.2022 Sanctuary String Quartet standing by.

08.01.2022 The thing about art in its purest form is that it doesnt require an audience, or applause. Anything can be evolved into an art form... coding, interpretation of data, making coffee. What art requires is discipline, an ability to learn, and a desire for perfection.

06.01.2022 Another beautiful scene set by @unforgettableproposals today in Sydney. Postcard perfection featuring @janecarolinestanley on solo violin

05.01.2022 Been taking lots of photos of beautiful instruments recently, including this one of my own violin. Its modern, made in 2018 by Adele Beardsmore. Ive played it performing with @qsorchestra @operaaustralia and @australiansessionorchestra and the tone continues to develop new depths. Been on the shelf a bit lately but there are a few projects coming up. Time to get the old fingers working again

04.01.2022 music. soul food. eat well. www.sanctuarystringquartet.com

03.01.2022 She makes instruments, and she makes them well. Adele Beardsmore, Blackheath NSW.

03.01.2022 A few years ago Bruce Bedwell invited us to be a part of his birthday celebrations, and what transpired was one of the best nights of music making weve been privileged to be a part of. People coming together to celebrate friendship and a love of music - pure and authentic... thanks Bruce and looking forward to playing with you again! 02.01.2022 Stealing a still from @requelleaiken_films footage. We’ll remember this wedding for a long time. One of the first coming out of the covid months it really was as close to perfect as it gets. Solo violin for the ceremony, then string quartet for canapes and reception with an all star team of @ellicelli @sarahkingmusic and @therapeutic_bodywork_dan To everyone working in the events industry - congrats on getting through the worst of it and here’s to an awesome 2021 Also go check out @requelleaiken_films page! They good

01.01.2022 Bookings for weddings and live performances are starting to trickle back in for the second half of the year. Hopefully we can keep on the positive run weve had and avoid the second wave. Got out of town to get back basics on the weekend. Bit of calm for the soul... @ Goomburra, Queensland, Australia
