19.01.2022 Another of our local suppliers was Fleurieu Embroidery & Uniforms based in Lonsdale. Responsible for printing our SandBAR shirts within eight days, we received our shirts two days early much to our relief. Owner-operated means you get the best information, options and flexibility for Paul, Kat & their team to meet deadlines and produce quality garments. ... Shirts, jumpers, hats, PPE clothing, stubby holders and much more - stop by the shop on Aldershot Road, Lonsdale to look at some samples and magazines when you need custom clothing next.

17.01.2022 One of four food vendors featured at this SandBAR this summer was A Taste of Paradise. A perfect summer van with açai bowls, smoothies, milk shakes, fruit cups, cheese platters, nachos and much more. Their Paradise Swirl is a crowd favourite - açai & coconut soft serve ... 16.01.2022 Missing Christies Beach? Head into Flava this long weekend and soak up the scenery with a coffee, beer, wine and/or delicious food. Located directly across the road from where the SandBAR was!

15.01.2022 And that’s a wrap. We took over the second and final year of an existing permit that was for six weeks and unfortunately that has come to an end and it’s not easy to have the permit or liquor license extended. Thank you to all our patrons who made the SandBAR a success. We had very little trouble and you helped keep our environmental footprint low - while nothing is a given, we expect/want to be back next summer.... Thank you to all the musicians who have played the SandBAR - amazing talents that set the mood & attracted thousands. Thanks to Smokin' It Up, RG - Rik’s Grill, Taste of Paradise & Diggety's Hot Dogs for the food. Thanks to our neighbours that supported this activation so well, including FLAVA food & coffee & The ESPY Bakehouse - both business are open all year round with great food and drinks so don’t avoid the area! Thank you to the Christies Beach Hotel for their emergency supply of beer, wine, spirits & mixers. Thank you to Allbiz Supplies, Fleurieu Embroidery & Catscratch Design for their signage, printing, shirts & artwork. Thanks to the City of Onkaparinga who made this possible and continue to assist us with making this activation viable for years to come. Thanks to our breweries for quality beers and the opportunity to showcase them to thousands this summer. Lastly, thanks to everyone who completed a feedback form or have left a review/recommendation on this page. All will be very useful in securing a new permit for next summer. If you haven’t, we would greatly appreciate your time to write a review, especially if you were an interstate traveller! Hope to see you all in December! The SandBAR Team

10.01.2022 SEA BREEZE HITS CHRISTIES BEACH 4:20pm Sunday January 24 @ The SandBAR A gentle but refreshing sea breeze hit the Christies Beach foreshore at approximately 4:20pm, about the same time that a pod of dolphins appeared.... The northerly has turned westerly, much to the delight of talented musician, Lucas Day. Lucas is at the SandBAR until 5:30pm overlooking the picturesque Christies Beach. Taking over from him will be Harry Baulderstone, 6-9pm.

07.01.2022 LAST DRINKS For one last time this summer, we’ll be set-up on the 26th along the Esplanade at Christies Beach serving cold drinks and providing six hours of live music. Don’t miss your chance to visit the SandBAR this summer!... MUSIC: Pat Ramm 3-6pm & E'nuf Said 6-9pm FOOD: Smokin' It Up BEERS: SandBAR Session Ale, South Coast Brewing Co Session Ale, Goodieson Brewery Pale Ale, Southern Bay Brewing Pale Ale, Shifty Lizard Brewing Co. Easy Ale, Southern Bay Brewing XPA & Barossa Valley Brewing Aussie Pale Ale. Only four beers will be available at a time. COCKTAILS: Margaritas followed by Mojitos. Cider, spirits, wines & soft drinks also available.

One being Tap It Party Hire who have been nominated for ‘Best Customer Service Experience’ in the Hallett Cove Business Association Awards! When applications open for the 2021-22 summer, we will be putting ours in to return to Christies Beach
