24.01.2022 Another challenging day for the lads at S&D Maintenance, today the challenge was to take on a task at Just Cats Tasmania thinking this job would take no time, they boys got stuck into it and cleaned the place up after having no maintenance done for 18 months, very happy with todays results. A big thank you to Rachel from Just Cats Tasmania for allowing us to work on the premises and hope to do more work for these lovely people again soon.

19.01.2022 To all our new and existing customers, just a quick note of apology, due to bad weather we have had to postpone a number of jobs due to our insurance policy which states, "insured to work in safe working condition" at the moment conditions are not great so we do apologies for the delay, as the old saying goes "when it rains it pours" that it is doing. 17.01.2022 Working at heights is a high risk activity and a leading cause of death and serious injury in Australia. Between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2015: 359 workers were killed following a fall from a height11% of all workers killed over this period. Half of these falls involved falling three metres or less. The greatest number of fatalities involved falling from roofs (59), ladders (54), vehicles (27) and horses (33).... Workers aged 45 years and over made up 65% of those who died. The construction industry accounted for 37% of falls-related fatalities. S&D Maintenance has gone to the extreme to ensure safety being the number one priority for not only ourselves but our clients as well. We have invested a lot of money with top of the range safety gear such as Safety Harness, Safety Rope & Descenders, this equipment has proven that even if there is a slip or fall from a certain height, the equipment we are using is guaranteed not to fail We always make sure of SWMS sheet is signed off prior to commencement of any job, this is so we know the risks & dangers involved.

Then on the last day there were gale forced winds and this dude was still up on the same roof, with NO SAFETY GEAR. Main thing about Solar Panel Cleaning is: 1) make sure Solar Panels are NOT left on prior to us cleaning them... 2) solar panels cannot be 3-4 panels in depth right along your roof as there is no where to step 3) our safety is number one, but we strive to ensure the job is done and that your solar panels remain clean.
