25.01.2022 This council has planted 10,562 trees and 65,000 shrubs and plants. We still have a way to go just to replace those lost in Marcus.
24.01.2022 Council has been consulting with stakeholders and people clearly want improvements to recycling procedures.
22.01.2022 Have you prepared for this year's Annual Hard Rubbish Collection? We were on-site yesterday morning to check out what goes on behind the scenes of the Pre-Cyclo...ne Clean Up. Brendan from HPA was there to show Acting Lord Mayor Mick Palmer how they sort the goods once they are brought to the depot. This year for the first time EVER our fleet will be collecting all items on your verge at the same time! Which means less confusion It also means once your street is cleared we will not return Zone 1 commences this Monday 31 August! More details can be found here: www.darwin.nt.gov.au/pccu
20.01.2022 It’s looking like a big mango season for the Darwin region.

18.01.2022 Council has stepped up and is planting trees across Darwin. Gotta say the Cavenagh St project was NTG. Well done.
17.01.2022 Funny how the Territory Alliance preferences gave Labor the win in Drysdale and Pt Darwin.and so Government, yet Terry Mills and his Alliance lost every seat.
17.01.2022 New planting in front of the Wagaman shops has thrived with the beginning of the wet season! #myDarwin
15.01.2022 Tonight Council passed a motion by Justine Glover, Alderman Waters Ward, City of Darwin. The Cenotaph carpark will be returned to green open space. No RSL. No cafe. ... A beautiful green Esplanade that will link into Civic Park and State Square.
14.01.2022 Is an upgrade of Dickward Drive to four lane duel carriageway a priority? Considering 1. the mangroves are environmentally sensitive, 2. the excavation will release toxic PFAS 3. Bagot Rd is 6 lanes aligned parallel, 4. It’s a flood zone... 5. Bicycle and footpath networks are wanting 6. Public Transport must be improved I’m not so sure.
12.01.2022 Youth crime is out of control in Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. The NT Government’s alcohol restrictions are an apartheid system that is clearly divisive AND NOT WORKING on so many levels. On the street, it’s 10 year old kids throwing rocks at people and property, while yelling ya racist white c***s ... These kids have heard that from their parents.
10.01.2022 If your keen to contribute to our Karama Community Garden, please come to Robyn Leslie Park off Koolinda Crescent 9am this Saturday 21st November to view the plans and start the process. All welcome.

09.01.2022 The new proposed Defence Housing suburbs out off Lee Point Road will be Cat Containment zones to protect the wildlife in Casuarina Coastal Reserve.
09.01.2022 This is the winning election poster for the Territory 2020 election It’s across the road from the Darwin booths. A violation of the election material exclusion zone of 100 metres. Voters were totally disengaged from the How To Vote gauntlet. The exclusion zone restricted the opportunity to meet the candidates or discuss issues with the party reps. In the early voting two weeks leading up, the exclusion zone didn’t exist. So you could hand out How To Vote cards at... the entrance to the polling booths. These two tactics favour the major parties. Sneaky. Then there is the real problem of up to half the people not even on the electoral roll. Of those who are on the roll, up to half did not even vote. Integrity and trust in our political system has gone. Anyways, the bright side is we have stable government. Let’s hope this term the Gunner Government get more progressive and focus on fiscal investment with significant long term local return.
09.01.2022 Free Parking in town tomoz. The PayStay app ain’t apping.
09.01.2022 Every time I enter the Council Chamber I wonder should old mate, a convicted criminal, be on the wall next to LM George Brown.

07.01.2022 The two party political system is not conducive to fair, open and honest government. Just have a look! There are alternatives. Don’t be shy.
