25.01.2022 Sandflail switch squat. This is a movement I like to do for 45-60 seconds at a time. It is way harder than it looks. You have to really coordinate your arms to flip it, keep it under control and landing it as smoothly as possible, all while trying to keep a good squat rhythm with your lungs burning. Almost feels like a full body sprint. This is one of the first things I did with a fully loaded flail about 3 years ago, I was really into old tradition martial arts strength trai...ning at the time and this is something I created out of all that. 23.01.2022 Sandflail XC. Limited edition. What is it? It’s the same USA Military manufacturer, same military grade material, same multi cam design, the same awesome properties........but it’s less bulky (XC stands for extra compact). In the military they have needs for different weights of materials for specific reasons. When I found out that the manufacturer does the same Sandflail material but in a less bulky form I had to order some up and get some Sandflail made. So along with the ...last batch of flail I got some of these made. The differences: 1: It folds up a good bit smaller (extra compact). I originally was going to release these in the spring/summer as a limited run for the ultimate travel companion for a bit of fun but covid stopping me getting the original Sandflail production going I have decided to release these early. Yeah the original Sandflail is extremely small when folded up, this version is smaller. Pretty cool. 2: Due to being less bulky it gives a thinner grip compared to the Original Sandflail. Think a standard grip club/mace vs a thick grip club/mace. Not a big deal but just gives a different feel. I’m all about small differences in training equipment, even tiny ones can drastically change the Dynamic and spark different creative ideas (thick grip mace vs thinner grip mace, thick kettlebell handle vs thinner handle, cast iron kettlebell vs competition style kettlebell etc etc) 3: it’s easier to tie the bands around the SandFlail. Again due to the less bulky material there is less overall material to pull through the bands/bungee cord so makes things a little easier, agin not a big deal but a nice bonus. Any cons? Nope not really, the only thing I can think is that because there is less overall material......towel style pull ups will be harder to get a good grip. That’s pretty much it. You’ll also see you can now browse categories of Sandflail XC and SandFlail Original which there is still some stock in 8x85cm, 9x85cm & 9x90cm. 21.01.2022 Parablocks: Standard. This specific set is made to fit smaller hand sizes really well. Dimensions slightly smaller than the standard sets I make so it accommodates smaller hands better. If you have medium to larger hands you can still use these great, you use get more purchase on the board. You get the exact product in the images. I try to make each set a little unique, I’m not interested in just churning out the same things at speed so whether it be the finish or carvings etc I spend a lot of time on each set, hand shaping them and getting an awesome looking functional training tool that will be as good a training tool as it would a... rustic decoration in your house. Also notice the first part of the video he has the flail wrapped around his hand to shorten it a little, simple way to quickly change the dynamics, awesome to see! I like my products to have some character, I like to leave natural wood characteristics and even some cool looking scars and scratches if it doesn’t effect it’s function. It all adds to the raw, rustic creative aesthetic I’m going for but I finish them to a very high standard. Balancing that raw... look with a high quality finish is harder than you’d think so it takes me some more thought and time but I wouldn’t do it any other way. These have the versatility of parallettes (ability to set at any angle) which for me is important as I have shoulder issues and this allows me to get to the most comfortable positions all while getting the benefits of a shena. Use in the standard shena position or anything in between. All while being able to travel nice and easy, if you know me, you know I love portable training equipment.
