17.01.2022 After nearly a month on the sideline, it was great to be back doing what I love last weekend at the Kiewa Sandy Creek Football and Netball Club. I knew the mom...ent I walked through the door and saw that they were storing their spare gas bottles under Australia’s biggest heater that this was a club that took safety seriously and that we would all be Covid safe. It was great to meet the clubs many characters including the self nicknamed TPD (the perfect dick), Rory who had a Red Heeler (because he couldn’t afford a Blue Heeler) called Fox (I’m pretty sure it is actually a Fox), Thommo who played in 7 flags for Albury (I know this because when I met him he said Hi, my name is Thommo and I played in 7 flags for Albury), absolute legend Lewy who won the game off his own boot and is now looking for another club, All the Richardson’s who were roughly half the crowd, and who could forget hall of fame smart arse Baldy Croucher. Special mentions go to Bull (sarcastic nickname) who played his 250th that day and Scotty who played his 200th. A huge thanks to club president Britto for organising the night. All the best to Muddy and the rest of the club for the remainder of the year. I had a great night!! See more

16.01.2022 Great night for training, those 11 blokes who came last Monday, hopefully we’ll get some more blokes after a few weeks rest? Training is on so get on down, COVID save protocol will be in place. Use the TEAM.

16.01.2022 No action at the nest tomorrow with all teams playing away. It's an exciting clash for our senior team as they take on ladder leaders Wynnum. Worth noting is c...olts player Jarvis Poppleton who makes his well earned debut for the seniors. It's also fantastic to see young clubman Jackson Crawford return from injury to line up for the Ressies. Get out and support our boys and girls and cheer, cheer for the green and the red. Go Hawks! 09.01.2022 AFL Masters National Carnival Doctor Dr Joe Juhasz encourages anyone attending the 2021 National Carnival to get their first COVID-19 vaccination in the next few weeks. The AstraZeneca and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines require two doses, with the second dose due 12 weeks after the initial jab. Getting the first shot in the next two weeks means the second dose can be administered in late August, well ahead of the start of the National Carnival on September 26th. Doc Joe’s recommend...ation is in line with advice provided by the Federal Chief Medical Officer and the state Chief Medical Officers: All vaccines are thoroughly tested for safety in Australia, and serious side effects are extremely rare, with Australians also encouraged to rely on reputable sources of information to help them make informed choices about COVID-19 vaccines. Being vaccinated will also be of benefit if a proposed state vaccination passport is introduced. However, if you have any doubts about the vaccines, please consult your own medical advisor. The Perth 2021 National Carnival is the most anticipated AFL Masters carnival ever. Hundreds of interstate players are expected to travel into Perth for the Carnival from September 26 to October 2.
