24.01.2022 With the recent developments of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) we would kindly ask patients to consider the following before booking in for an appointment: -Have you travelled overseas (within past 14 days)? If yes, was this to an affected geographic area of Coronavirus? (Affected geographic areas AT PRESENT include China, Iran, Italy, Japan, and South Korea) -Do you have any cold or flu symptoms? (fever or symptoms of lower respiratory illness, such as cough or shortne...ss of breath) -Have you had close contact with any person, including healthcare workers who may have Coronavirus in the past 14 days? 12.01.2022 Ever wondered how we make our orthotics? Here is a guide bought to you by our resident Pawdiatrist Penny and Caitlin's poor editing skills! -First we select the appropriate density orthotic block prescribed by our podiatrist John -Then we load up our clients foot scan and make any corrections John prescribes -The block is then placed on our milling machine. This grinds out the orthotic to match the patients scan and corrections... -Next we have to grind and buff the orthotic so it's nice and smooth under the foot and fits just right -We then glue the orthotic and prescribed cover (Caitlin's specialty) -This is then trimmed and shaped ready to go into our patients shoes at there fitting appointment!
