23.01.2022 Sandgate Tennis is now coming into Term 3 for junior coaching. The term will go from Monday July 13 - Saturday September 19th. All of the group lessons are an hour in length with various times and days during the week and Saturday depending age and ability. Registration can be be done online or contact the centre on 32697783 Another fantastic opportunity that might be available to you is the government Fair Play Voucher Scheme for Junior sport. The vouchers are for families w...ith children aged 5-17 years old and they can use them to help with sporting costs eg term fees. They cover $150.00. Included in the clinic is specific technical and tactical feedback to help improve each individual playing ability, also a short physical conditioning program daily to increase players speed, strength and agility. All of these aspects create an enjoyable program for all. 16.01.2022 To all players parents children, Covid -19 update. Urgent Hi all, Last night Tennis Qld released new guidelines effective immediately for our Tennis Centre. Restrictions have been updated and tightened and as a result, we are able only to have a maximum of 10 patrons at our venue at any one time. ... This produces a difficult task for us to control these numbers and requires new conditions ( only temporary) for us to open. The following conditions will apply from today Wednesday 20th May 2020 until further notice. 1. Coaching. All coaching lessons will be back to 1-1 half hr sessions and your times will be the same as last week. Kyle will send a reminder in due course. No Wednesday adult group coaching available. Each child is required to sign in & out for their lesson. All parents will have to stay in the carpark during coaching times to keep to the maximum of 10 people. 2. Court hire will be open for singles and doubles between 6am-3pm and 7:30pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday. No court hire on Saturdays and Sundays. Only two courts will be available to book with a maximum of four players per court for one hour only with no spectators. All usual permanent bookings have been removed at this stage. Any of those wanting to play will have to make a seperate booking online. All bookings are required to be made online through our website www.sandgatetennis.com.au. On arrival each player is required to sign in and out on the register books provided in each clubhouse. 3. All social distancing rules still apply. Tables and chairs are not permitted. 13.01.2022 To all valued customers of Sandgate Tennis. As of Friday 27th March 2020, Sandgate Tenniss doors will be closed to all public for court hire,online court hire bookings and all coaching programs. This closure will apply for a four week period ,then reviewed to re-open pending on the situation of the Coronavirus.... Please be assured that as soon as Sandgate Tennis can re-open, we will do so. 13.01.2022 To all members, parents and children, Over the weekend Tennis Queensland was successful in acquiring an exemption for tennis from the State Government. This means that there will be some more lenient rulings going forward. The changes that have been made are in effect as of Wednesday 10th June 2020 and are as follows:... Court Hire 1. All court hire groups under 20 people are accepted. No more than 10 people per court. Bookings are available between 6am - 11pm, 7 days a week. You can make a booking online on our website www.sandgatetennis.com.au or over the phone 3269 7783. All permanent bookings will be reinstated. 2. There is now a designated seperate entry and exit. Entry will be through the gate at court 1, and the exit through the gate at court 5. No entry or exit through back gate at court 6 & 8. There will be clear signage displayed at each gate. 3. There is to be no co-mingling between court hire groups, there will be clearly signed designated areas for each court. 4. We understand that most court hire groups bring their own tea, coffee etc. We are only allowing the use of the tea and coffee provided by Sandgate Tennis, including styrofoam cups. No mugs. 5. All court hire groups are not permitted to stay after their booking time. Everyone must leave at the end of their booking. Clear signage will be displayed to help enforce this. 6. All players must sign in on the registers provided in each clubhouse. Coaching 1. All lessons will be back to group and squad coaching (including Wednesday night adult lesson 6:30-8pm). No Friday Fixtures or Wednesday Hot Shot Fixtures at this time. 2. All coaching groups will be 3 children per court to minimise numbers where possible. 3. All coaching children will have to be signed in and out on the registers provided. 4. There is now a designated seperate entry and exit. Entry will be through the gate at court 1, and the exit through the gate at court 5. No entry or exit through back gate at court 6 & 8. There will be clear signage displayed at each gate. 5. All children are to be dropped off and picked up as close to their lesson time as possible to limit people hanging around. General Rules 1. All social distancing rules still apply. There will be clear signage around the premises to help enforce this. 2. All people using the facility MUST sign in and out on registers provided. 3. Anyone feeling unwell are not permitted to enter the premises at any time. Staff has the authority to refuse anyone with symptoms entrance if needed. 4. 12.01.2022 We are approaching the halfway point of Term 3. A big thank you to all children that have signed up for this term’s lessons. We are still accepting new enrolments. With 5 weeks left , the price will be $102.50 (5-7year olds) & $115.00 (8-17 year olds). This is a great time for any existing players to get back into the sport, or any new players to give it a go! 10.01.2022 Covid 19 Update 17/5/2020 We have received the latest information regarding Government regulations from Tennis Queensland. From Monday 18th May we will implement the following ... 1. Online bookings are open from 5am-11pm 7 days a week. ALL ONLINE BOOKING PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN IN AND SIGN OUT ON THE REGISTERS PROVIDED. 2. A maximum of 10 people per court are eligible to play during your court booking. 3. Court groups need to only stay for their booking time (no mingling past the end of booking) Tea and coffee facilities are able to be used within your booking time. 4. Designated seating areas have been created and need to be followed. No use of tables permitted. 5. All group coaching to be reinstated. Please turn up at your normal group time. No Friday afternoon junior coaching match play between 4-6pm & 6-8pm provided at this stage. 6. A register book will be situated in each clubhouse. EVERY PLAYER needs to sign in and sign out. 7. Social distancing rules to be adhered at all times. 08.01.2022 This morning I was pleased to see the newly refurbished tennis courts at Sandgate Tennis paid for with a Palaszczuk Government grant of $19,804. A tennis centre... that defies the ages with experienced players such as Terrie and Lawrence through to young players like Kyle, Harry and Amya. 07.01.2022 Thanks to Stirling Hinchliffe for taking the time to officially open our newly refurbished courts which was made possible through a grant obtained from the Queensland Government Community Benefit Fund. Stirling was put through his paces by two of our Tennis Australia ANZ Hotshots under the watchful eye of some our a senior social players.

04.01.2022 To all Clientele, Players, Parents and Children. 16/4/20 Update on Covid-19 and OPENING of the Sandgate Tennis Centre. I wish to thank you all in advance for your patience and your Loyalty to Sandgate Tennis in these difficult circumstances surrounding The COVID-19 rules and regulations for all.... On April 9th I sent an email to you all in anticipation of opening our doors at Sandgate Tennis on April 20th 2020 with limited services available. Since April 9th, Tennis Queensland, our State Body has updated their information and in compliance with this statement, Sandgate Tennis will remain CLOSED for another four week period. The centre will again review and update all clientele at this time. If any further updates become available in the meantime, we will advise. Brett Plant. Association Manager.

On the latest advice from our State Body Tennis Queensland, we are happy to advise that WE WILL OPEN OUR DOORS ON TUESDAY 5th MAY.... CONDITIONS APPLY. until further notice as follows. 1. The centre opening times will be Mon-Fri 9.00 am till 11.30 am. And 3.00pm till 7.30pm. Saturdays 6.30am - 10.30am. 2. Court hire is available to all players for singles play only. Court hire is available only during opening hours as above. Online bookings and payments preferred. ( strictly 1-1) 3. All group coaching will be operating with 1-1 private lessons only. Maximum 2 people only on court including the coach with one parent/guardian able to supervise off court.Kyle will be calling all coaching participants during the next few days to organise times. We will try our best to keep a similar schedule to your childs normal lesson times. 4. Private lessons already booked weekly will run as normal with Brett, John and Kyle.
