25.01.2022 Last week Saturday I had the pleasure of capturing this spectacular sunrise on Mt Tinbeerwah, with this beautiful couple. 25.01.2022 My heart goes out to all the Nonna’s and Poppa’s in Italy, China & the world over who have lost their lives to the dreaded Corona Virus. I am begging my fellow Australians, friends & family the world over, to please take the necessary actions to self isolate and put an end to this epidemic. It is up to each of us to do our part. Look out for one another. Lend a helping hand wherever you can without putting yourself or others at risk. Take this time to relax at home and re...discover the beauty of your garden, painting or reading a good book. We have so much to be thankful for. Don’t allow all this negative talk and sad news get you down! My heart also goes out to all those couples who have lost jobs or have been affected by the forced cancellations of venues etc. I have already had a number of clients and bride & grooms to be, postpone or cancel their bookings. I totally understand and feel for each of them. I want all my clients to know that I will happily reschedule their bookings to later this year or even 2021 at no charge to them. 19.01.2022 Yesterday my husband and I celebrated the wedding of our eldest daughter out on the farm. It was by the far the most magical and perfect day. One special touch that had me in tears was this beautiful tribute at the ceremony and reception, to family and friends who could not attend due to Covid restrictions or in this case of my beloved Dad who is no longer with us. 12.01.2022 I was blessed with this beautiful view up at One Tree Hill in Maleny on Sunday. However I was shocked to see a previous wedding party had left some of their ‘snack’ junk behind. I picked up cling wrap, pop cans and plastic champagne glasses. There was also odd flowers etc. The worst was that the gate had been left open. Please people, bare in mind this is a working farm and there are cattle that graze here. Clean up after yourselves and shut the gate!!! The $50 donation to charities, does not mean you can dump your rubbish!!!! This was Allison's first ever photo shoot with a professional and at first she said she was a bit nervous, but as you can see she soon warmed up to looking comfortable and confident for her shoot. I loved Allison's eagerness to... learn and wish her every success for the future. 02.01.2022 I often get asked why photographer's charge the fee's they do for a photo shoot! Well, something that most clients don't realise is there are countless hours that go into creating and delivering the final product. There's a lot more involved than just the skills, equipment and time of the photographer on the day. Here's just a small list, just in case anyone was wondering! Post production: 1. First you have to cull and delete all the 'bloopers' 2. Selecting the 'Favourites"... or Top Shots of the day 3. Cropping, white + colour balance etc 4. Skin edits or enhancements + teeth whitening etc 5. Back ground blur 6. Foreground tidy up from distractions etc 7. Delivery of final product Weddings & Engagements + Portrait Sessions Pre - Shoot * Researching shoot locations * Meeting clients to discuss their vision & dreams (weddings) * Regular Email Correspondence * Creating coffee table books & albums And the list goes on and on...... So in all honesty if we did not Love what we are doing, we probably could go pack shelves at the supermarket and get paid more. For me personally, it is my true passion. I love creating images that will be treasured now and in years to come.
