16.01.2022 For everyone who loves a good "what's that bang" or "who's letting off fireworks" social media post, you are in for a treat over the next 10 days. After a great... deal of social media comment recently, and even some media coverage, the Department of Defence has confirmed they are currently conducting evening time exercises under loud noise simulations. You may hear explosive noises between 7 and 9pm on 10, 12, 14, 16 and 20 November. As usual, the extent of the noise is dependent on weather conditions. Bells Amusements has been advising on social media that there will be fireworks at around 8pm on Saturday 14 November at Queanbeyan Showground during their three-day carnival starting Friday 13 November. Owners of anxious pets may need to make preparations.

Grass and crop fires are the main concern in these locations for the summer months as the growth dries out in the warmer weather.
