08.01.2022 High tide at Sandpiper Beach House on a glass calm afternoon is a pretty picture. At low tide, there is two directions to choose from to go for a walk and both offer stunning views. Go right when you hit the water line and you walk to a rocky point where, turning back, The Hazards dominate the sky line. Walk left and you go around the mouth of the river and can navigate to Sandpiper Beach. The views of Great Oyster Bay, the Freycinet Peninsula and beyond, Schouten Island, are simply inspiring.

01.01.2022 Cooks Beach, Freycinet Peninsula. Kerry and I have just completed a four day hike of Freycinet. Highlights included a Humpback whale and calf at Wineglass Bay, sunshine and swimming at Cooks Beach, dolphins, eagles a rainbow.. Great to have a bath at Sandpiper Beach House (10 minutes from the National Park), after walking out today though! NICE. Ah, and now a soft bed awaits (hey, I like camping, don't get me wrong, but I also luv that bath/shower and bed after a good walk!)
