Thanks to Bayside City Council Communities Grants we are offering this course free of charge. Usually priced at $195, we are stoked to be able to fund this iniative for the community. 01.04.2022 We had a terrific turnout this morning for our Sunday Swim. Thank you to our wonderful community for embracing this weekly event. SLSC look forward to resuming the Water Safety supported swim again later in the year. In the meantime there will be people swimming weekly from SLSC on a Sunday morning at 8am if you're looking to join others to swim (throughout the colder months). In an attempt to stop the spread of disease, LSV has asked for no members to come inside clubhouses for the remainder of the season. Our patrollers will still be attending the beach until Easter and providing help to those who need it. ... 05.01.2022 Save the date for Locked Down Trivia! Friday 16th October 8-9:30pm Locked Down Trivia is a super-fun and social Zoom trivia night, which raises thousands of dollars every week for local schools and community groups, and they are supporting us for their final night on 16th Oct!... Featuring: 5 rounds of trivia + 1 bonus round (fastest response wins) Best-dressed competition (theme for the finale is Black Tie) Cake decorating (have a blank cake or cupcakes ready - theme announced at the start of the night) Live music. People can form teams across multiple households, states and even countries! One person from each team will need to submit the answer sheet on the teams' behalf - but that is all covered in more detail on the night. Teams communicate via a side channel they set up, e.g. whatsapp, messenger, FaceTime, another zoom, etc. Participants can also donate into a general pool if they have no affiliation and that money gets equally divided amongst you all. Life Saving Victoria are in the process of ensuring that reporting works correctly and will update the policy accordingly soon. In the meantime, all applicants over 18 still require a WWCC in order to become a club member. Thanks!
