About us: Sandrino is a long established, award winning and well-known Fremantle based restaurant, with the same owners for over 15 years. We serve quality Italian, Mediterranean, and modern Australian cuisine in a large, busy and fast paced environment.... The Role: The Role: As Sous Chef you would work directly with the head chef and report to the owner and Operations Manager. You would assisting the head chef in all day-to-day operations of the kitchen including rostering, ordering and stock control. You would maintain order and ensure busy services run smoothly. You would assist in menu updates and well as the maintenance of our weekly specials menu. You will be responsible for the running and maintenance of the kitchen in the head chef’s absence. You will need to facilitate and maintain relationships with the rest of the kitchen and the FOH staff. The ideal candidate must have the following qualities: Minimum 4 years chef experience, 2 in leadership role Experience in busy, fast paced, high volume kitchens Knowledge of Italian cuisine Proficiency working in multiple sections Pizza and pastry experience preferred Intimate knowledge of quality produce Precise stock control and rotation Experience with large scale ordering preferred Relationships with local supply companies and reps preferred Practiced in food and wage costing Excellent References This if a full time position with competitive salary in addition to extras such as central Fremantle parking pass.
