04.01.2022 The best laid plans We had a packed Justice Bus program today. Sunbury, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Kyneton, Woodend. But that was before I caught up with Rosie... Gallicchio and Leo Vamvalis at the Sand Art Gallery in Riddells Creek. Could not drag myself away. It is stunning. An Australian artistic treasure. They have put their money where their mouth is, sold their farm, and invested in a magic artistic venture in country Victoria. Forget sand castles. What they have produced is artistic genius. They imported some sand sculture artists from all over the world, trucked in tonnes of brick sand, and said go for it for ten days. Theyve spent a fortune on European canvas canopies to protect the art from the elements. There are great story-telling tours for the kids. A perfect school holiday adventure. And I love this photo of me and Rosie with that moneky business behind us. DH

01.01.2022 Spent a wonderful hour with Rosie today, she gave our group a really great insight into the sculpting process, right from procuring the right sand to protecting... the sculptures from the weather. The exhibition was amazing, and Rosie such a great host that we will go back and see it again before it closes in May. Highly recommend people to go and see for themselves. Great value for money.
