20.01.2022 Are you a 'planning the week ahead' or 'see what comes up' kind of person? For the planners amongst us, here's your advance notice that this coming weekend we've got something on for all the family, with our first community playdate and the next in our series of recurring coffee catch-ups both taking place! Whilst we look forward to being able to see you in person again, our online events have proven a convenient way for many in our community to join in events they might not otherwise have been able to get to. No matter where you are in Australia, we'd be thrilled to see you online. For registration and login details visit the events page of our website: https://www.sands.org.au/Pages/Events/

20.01.2022 We’ll soon be changing the way we connect with you on Facebook to ensure you see more of us, and we hear more from you Our state-based pages will soon merge into our national @sands.australia page. To continue to access local news and events and to make connections with those living in your home state, you'll soon have the choice to join one of our new state-specific Facebook groups.... Our public groups will allow more opportunity for interaction and community building, enabling you to more freely share your thoughts and connect with others who’ve been through similar experiences. You’ll still be informed of our latest news and local community events in fact, you’ll be more likely to see our posts. And, if you’re looking for a more private space to chat with other bereaved parents, our closed Facebook groups might be the place for you. Send us a message if you'd like to find out more about our closed Facebook groups. To join our new state-based groups, just visit the Sands Australia page, click on 'Groups', and choose the group you wish to join. We look forward to seeing you there!

18.01.2022 Bereaved families know that children grieve the loss of a brother or sister acutely, and that even children born after the loss of a baby can feel a deep connection with the missing sibling they never met. We want to do more to support the children in the Sands community, and so we're trialling a community playdate designed for preschoolers and primary-aged children to join in activities and get to know others who are also missing a special someone from their family. Due to C...OVID-19 our initial playdates will be virtual ones - taking place on the 5th, 9th and 18th of July. For more information and to register: https://www.sands.org.au/Event/community-playdate
