18.01.2022 Four guys have been coming to Sandstone Park for many years. Two days before the group is to leave, Bill's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Bill's mates are very upset that he can't go, but what can they do?... Two days later the three mates get to Sandstone Park only to find Bill sitting there with a tent set up, firewood gathered, and dinner cooking on the fire. "Sh*t Bill, how long have you been here? How did you talk your missus into letting you go ?" "Well, I've been here since last night. After dinner at home yesterday evening, I was sitting in my chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and said, 'Guess who ?'" I pulled her hands off, and she was wearing sexy brand new lingerie. She said had been reading 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and she had a devilish look in her eyes!!! She took my hand and led me to our bedroom. The room had candles and rose petals all over. On the bed she had handcuffs, and ropes! She told me to tie her up and cuff her to the bed, so I did. And then she said, "Do whatever you want." So . . . . here I am ! ****creative licence used in the retelling of this joke ;)

14.01.2022 Taking the road less travelled and enjoying the "see where the road takes you" doesn't bode well with booking in advance EVER...because you know...where's the spontaneity in that? As we move through this ever-changing world of technology, reception systems are upgrading all the time, especially since covid.... so would you love to just press a button on your phone and go straight to set up your site OR does the check in process at reception give you peace of mind? We do have Optus and Telstra onsite at our park.

The best swimming hole at Carnarvon Gorge just down the road from Takarakka Bush Resort & Caravan Park - Carnarvon Gorge Queensland - Sandstone Park is closed over summer due to being on the top of a hill which is heaven in winter but hell in Summer! Takarakka is a great spot to camp in the Summertime! In the spirit of Christmas and what its all about, family, friends and spreading the love.

The views, the location, the size of the sites, the spotlessly clean toilets and access to a dump point all made our stay truly amazing"... And so after resounding stories telling us the same thing... we have decided its official that not only is the park pretty awesome but the toilets deserve their own star rating....
