25.01.2022 ATO has advised they will be closing for the Christmas period - We will suspend return and form processing from 3.00pm AEDT Friday 23 December 2011 until 9.00am AEDT Tuesday 3 January 2012. As a result, returns lodged from mid December to early January will take longer than usual to process. I will also have no Agent Portal Access as they are upgrading it. If you want your return processed within normal time frames now is the time to get your return prepared.

25.01.2022 It appears the ATO will be in overdrive this tax season, with their focus moved from the GST sections to the Individual Tax section, mainly Work related deductions! Hope you have all kept your receipts this year! As advised every time I see you, because if you dont have a receipt it cant be claimed. Last year the ATO pulled more than 35,000 returns offline for checking and those that couldnt produce receipts had their claims disallowed and refunds reduced, and in some cases were charged penalties as well.

20.01.2022 For those stuggling with the new STP and receiving your Imcome Statement please read below If you have a myGov account, you can see when your employer has finalised your payroll records. The Income Statement in the ATO Services section will show "Tax Ready" as the status. I can access that record from the ATO anytime after this. Please note your employer has until 30th July this year to get things lodged.

19.01.2022 Appointment Updates - After Dans announcement yesterday 6th September 2020. Until 28/09/2020 there will be no face to face appointments, all returns will need to be done via email or telephone. From 29/9/2020 we are under a restricted capacity, I need to get my head around what that actually means, but from my understanding it will mean I may not be able to have face to face appointments.... If case numbers are on track things should be back to normal by 23/11/2020 As soon as we get updates I will post. Stay safe everyone

18.01.2022 Appointment updates Ive received many texts in regards to appointments. This year while things are a little crazy, we have 3 options... 1. Face to Face - please wear a mask as per Vic Govt guidelines, and follow all other guidelines regarding social distancing etc. 2. Phone appointment and we can talk through everything 3. Email it through to me and I can do it for you in between appointments.
