25.01.2022 Sadly we have had to stop our regular Wednesday night twilight croquet. Thank you to all have come along and enjoyed a game or two. We'll be back at the start of Daylight Savings in October. Stay well everyone.

25.01.2022 TWILIGHT CROQUET is back! For the small cost of $5 p/p join us from 5.30 pm tomorrow night (Wednesday 13th) for a fun game. The weather gods are predicting a balmy evening so pop on your flat, soft soled enclosed shoes, BYO drinks/nibbles and your own keep cup. We look forward to meeting you on the lawns. 24.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all friends of the Sandy Bay Croquet Club. Thank you all for your support in booking functions at our club and enjoying our game during the challenging year of 2020. We, like everyone else are looking forward to a wonderful, safe and happy and healthy 2021! Twilight Croquet will be back on Wednesday 13th January until 24th February. 5.30 to 7.30pm $5p/p. BYO drinks and nibbles and have fun on the lawns. We would love to see you all there. Cheers!

23.01.2022 Thinking of an outdoor end of year get together? The Sandy Bay Croquet Club could be your ideal venue. We can offer a game of Croquet with tuition on our lawns at a time suitable to you. BYO food and drinks, maybe pizza delivery or have a caterer come in. We are excited to share our game and our lawns so get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll book you and your group in

22.01.2022 Still thinking of trying Croquet? Don’t forget that Wednesday evenings from 5.30 -7.30 we are running twilight Croquet. Only $5 p/p BYO drinks and food (we have a BBQ available for use), wear flat soft soled shoes and we’ll supply a mallet and show you how to play. Members Chris Groves and Alicia Groves are leaders for Wednesday 19th and would like to invite their friends, family and acquaintances to join us for a fun night.

14.01.2022 "Season Opening Day Saturday 12th September 2020". Following a club tradition of inviting the reigning Lord Mayor to run the first hoop we were delighted that the Right Honourable, the Lord Mayor of Hobart, Councillor Anna Reynolds accepted our invitation and successfully ran the first hoop of the season under the watchful eye of our President Graham Keating. Anna also presented Life Membership certificates to 3 long standing members and drew the 12 raffle prize winners. Thanks to all who came along to the opening day. The weather was kind, the food fabulous and the friendship that comes with such a great club was on display.

07.01.2022 The GC Open Doubles held at SBCC on the weekend was great success, fantastic weather, 24 participants from Clubs all around the State (Latrobe, North Esk, Eastern Shore, New Town, Kingston and Sandy Bay). The photo below is of the winners Ruth McKean (North Esk) partnered by John Colquhoun (Eastern Shore). Leigh Herington, President of Croquet Tasmanian presented the winners with the shield. Our own Graham Hyland partnered by Patsy Payne (Latrobe) excelled in his first ever GC competition and also won hat of the day!

01.01.2022 Good morning everyone, We are very excited to announce that Sandy Bay Croquet Club has re-opened. We are still social distancing and washing our hands but are very excited to be back on our lawns. During our time off we have had 2 lawns renovated and they are now looking and feeling very lush. If you would like to learn our game please get in touch, we would love to teach you. Plans are underway to reinstate our function/game hire and also our school holiday program so like our page and watch this space!

01.01.2022 Regrettably Sandy Bay Croquet Club will close later today for the time being. we’ll be open again as soon as we feel it’s safe to do so. Meanwhile practice your billiard/snooker shots at home because the way you play these games will reflect in your Croquet shots. In-offs, tricky angles, jump shots are all in the repertoire of the top players and in the dreams of us lesser mortals! Stay well and keep safe everyone. The will come out tomorrow.
