25.01.2022 KARMA KEG This Friday 4th of June from 5pm at the Exchange Hotel the club will be holding the Karma Keg fundraiser. Come along and name the price you want to pay for a beer and all proceeds go toward supporting the growth of our club. Drop in for a quick beer. See you there.

25.01.2022 Sandy Creek Cricket Club Junior blasters 2020 was an absolute blast. Thankyou to all that helped out to make this happen for the children. Thanks to Gareth Davis, Lee Hill, Nathan Gum, Wyatt Ryan and Will O’Brien for helping make the program possible. Special thanks to Monique and Matt Overd for cooking the sausage sizzle each week and also donating tonight’s for all to enjoy. This has been a successful program with 20 starting and a few moving on to under 11’s which is what this program is all about. Getting children to enjoy cricket and continue on with the club. Hope you all have a safe and merry Christmas and a happy new year. Go the mighty cockies!

19.01.2022 What a weekend of cricket to close out before Xmas, a T20 double header at Sandy that saw both A1s and A2s get a win but the highlight was A2 skipper Lee Hill taking the amazing figures of 4 overs 5 wickets for 1 run!!!!!! Not only that it included a hat trick! His sixth of his career all in front of his family. Well done doofy.

A big thank you to the Barossa Council for their support on this project and Cricket Australia for helping our club provide great facilities for our members. 09.01.2022 Friday & Sunday saw the club celebrate the success of both our junior and senior players. What a fantastic season for the club with our first ever A1 Barossa flag, B grade made the grand final, U17’s brought home the flag and the U15’s made the semi finals. Exciting times at cockie land. Hi Gareth, Hope you are well in what’s been a rollercoaster week for sure!... Just wanted to pass on some positive feedback for your Junior Blaster program at Sandy Creek. This feedback is received from a survey that is sent to all parents of registered Cricket Blast participants. Parents agreed that all children felt included and enjoyed the activities that were delivered, and that they were continually engaged, active and learning the skills of the game. Parents also had high praise for your organisation and communication in regards to what was happening. Congrats again on your great work out at Sandy Creek with Wyatt and your other helpers and it’s not surprising to hear your efforts are appreciated, hopefully we can return to all forms of cricket asap! 02.01.2022 FINALS UPDATE U17s won the Grand Final last night making 143. Dylan Hoppo batted superbly for 51. He was well supported by Harry Maher with 38 not out and Hudson Roberts 18. In reply, South Gawler were no match for our bowling attack. Will O'Brien 5/8 and Dylan Hoppo 3/15 (to take out the man of the match) dismissing South for 63. The B-Grade hit spots all day and restricted Kapunda to 92 from their 65 overs. Steady batting should see them over the line. Lee Hill, Adrian Pull...man and Josh Colbourne all took 2 wickets each. In the A-Grade, we were sent into the field. Will O'Brien backed up his impressive night before, taking 2/14. Jamie Diener took 4/28 off 18 overs and spin king Aussie Poulton with 4/14 knocked them over for 115. In reply, the Cockatoos are 3/48, with Rooster and Pumpa the not out bats.
