22.01.2022 Although not yet in play, the new Men's tee block on the 4th hole has grass and water! Thank you to all the volunteers and hard work that has occurred to reach this stage. We look forward to the hole being in play soon! See you out on course!

20.01.2022 Do you know someone who is interested in trying golf? The Club is running a number of Get into Golf programs in the near future which would be a great way of introducing them to golf and to the Club. We have a general 4-week program starting next Saturday, 13 March and a women’s 4-week program starting Thursday, 25 March. We also have two free Try Golf sessions this Sunday, 14 March. 18.01.2022 Play 9 Commences this Sunday, 2nd August. Book your tee-off time! Golf Australia is offering golfers around Australia the chance to play their way to the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews in 2021 through the Play 9 national event. In South Australia, the leading 30 male and leading 30 female scores in nine-hole competitions will be selected from Golf Link during the qualifying period to be invited to play in the South Australian Play 9 State Final, on 31 October at Glenel...g Golf Club. The leading two men and leading two women from the South Australian Play 9 State Final will qualify to play in the national final at the 2020 Men’s Australian Open at Kingston Heath Golf Club. The four qualifiers will travel to Melbourne in late 2020 and receive the following at no cost: A weekend pass for the 2020 Men’s Australian Open as guests of Golf Australia; Return economy air travel to Melbourne from the nearest major city in the player’s state/territory; Two nights’ accommodation (Friday and Saturday nights); $200 grant to cover local transport and meals in Melbourne; Attendance at the Play 9 presentation reception; Tickets to the Australian Open champion’s cocktail reception on Sunday evening; A player gift pack. A male winner and a female winner of the national Play 9 final will receive a trip for two to the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews in Scotland, where they will participate in the International 9 Hole Challenge final on the Old Course prior to the Open Championship. 16.01.2022 Adelaide Plains Vets Christmas Party! A terrific day was had at Sandy Creek Golf Club by the Adelaide Plains Vets. Despite blustery conditions, the comraderie was fabulous and the players were rewarded with a scrumptious lunch (catered for by Kaye Korber and Kath Barr - many thanks.... Thanks also to Sandy Francas who kept the cheer flowing, and Cheryl for her assistance in the kitchen!) The course is looking fantastic and SCGC welcomes all players and friends to visit again!

10.01.2022 End of Season Crazy Irish Stableford! A great day to celebrate a year of Covid, a year of uncertainty & a year to play golf. SCGC banded together during 2020/21, celebrated with some great golf and comraderie, and grew as a club. The course is looking fantastic due to the many hours from volunteers (of which there are numerous) and green staff (Danny, Richard and Steve), as are the players - best dressed today goes to Churchy and Steve Pedic! Some found the scoring hard when ...their partner scored a big fat ZERO! Not so for Ben McDonald and Steve Purdie who amassed a huge 82 points! Presentation of trophies followed a delicious lunch.
