25.01.2022 Were cooking up a storm at Foundry616 tonight! Heres a bit from our first set, an Andrew Robson classic The Serpent! Second set up soon!
24.01.2022 I feel so incredibly fortunate to have had my music played by amazing koto players in Manila and Singapore during the last 10 days. I cant express the depth of my gratitude to Satsuki Odamura, Hiroko Nagai, Kitai Saeko, Noriko Tsuboi, Brandon Lee, Yuko Yamamoto, Yukie Ota and all the wonderful koto players who were part of Koto Transformation. It blew my mind to return to Singapore, only a short distance from where I went to high school at the UWCSEA, and then to go to UP where the passion for music is truly extraordinary. Thanks everyone!
23.01.2022 Beautiful setting & lovely music. If youre looking for something romantic to do on Valentines Day, The Mountains Music Hunter, Meg Benson, is hosting a Valentines Duets concert that myself and Tony are performing at! "Its just so delightful to get to know these artists via candid conversation, and in this way be drawn into their worlds to further appreciate their music." You can pre-book tickets for the show via www.musichunterprojects.com. Hope to see you there!

21.01.2022 A few weeks ago, Bobby Singh, Sarangan Sriranganathan, Brett Hirst, Toby Hall and myself went into the studio to record our debut CD release, Kapture. TODAY we are excited to announce that this new recording is available from our good friends at Rufus Records! The music is a response to some of the extraordinary stories from South African freedom fighter Ahmed Kathradas writings about his experiences in prison, and his visionary, powerful and profound philosophy and life f...orce. It is also a response to renowned choreographer/dancer Liz Leas movement, choreography, and her generous, imaginative and emotive interpretations of Kathradas experience. We are incredibly proud to bring this new collaborative work to the world, and we hope you enjoy! http://www.rufusrecords.com.au/catalogue/RF100.html

17.01.2022 Dear Friends, I would like to share some information about the pieces that Pharos - SWJC are playing in concert on Saturday 7 November as part of Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival. Restful Peace was composed last week after my beautiful mother passed away and it’s dedicated to her. Lighthouse Keepers is dedicated to Pharos - it’s a celebration of the connections I have with all of them, and the way their friendships, music, careers and sense of community have blossomed and continue to be a beacon of light and inspiration to others. https://moshtix.com.au//sydney-international-women/122549

Ambon draws from the secret, coded POW diary of Swantons uncle Stuart, part of the ill-fated Gull Force sent to defend Ambon, Indonesia in World War II. Ambon brings together hymns, work song, gospel, military marches, island music and jazz, to create something of beauty out of great horror, in the process offering us insight into a little-known tragedy in our recent past.
03.01.2022 My dear friend John Pochée turned 80 recently and ABC Jazz is celebrating with a look back at the Ten Part Invention concert from the 1999 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues. It was an important concert for many reasons, not least that it was Roger Framptom's last appearance with the band before he passed away... If you haven't heard this before, I hope you enjoy it. If you have, I hope it brings back wonderful memories, as it does for me.https://www.abc.net.au//ten-part-invention-live-a/12841916
