25.01.2022 It’s official, Sex and the City is coming back. The iconic 10-episode revival, titled And Just Like That will reunite (almost) all of the core cast, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis all reprising the roles of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York. The show will follow the women as they navigate life in their 50s sadly without Kim Catrall, who isn’t returning.

24.01.2022 I'm very late coming to this but am upset to learn that Reverend John Wilkins passed away recently from coronavirus. He was a renowned blues and gospel singer-songwriter from Memphis who fused gospel, blues and soul into an eclectic mix. He was 76 years old. RIP Reverend.

They're a band that hails from Philadelphia that are making big news and gaining huge support from people like Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Elton John. 20.01.2022 The Foo Fighters have unveiled their new musical direction - transforming from stadium rock heroes to a Bee Gees tribute band for their next album. As the 'Dee Gees,' a nod to frontman Dave Grohl's initials, the band will release an LP including four Bee Gees covers. The album's called 'Hail Satin' and will see the Foos take on the Gibb brothers' 1970s disco classics Night Fever, Tragedy, You Should Be Dancing and More Than a Woman. It will be released on vinyl for Record Store Day on 17 July. Check out their recent performance at Madison Square Gardens New York. What do you think? Personally I prefer the original.

13.01.2022 Harry Nilsson would have celebrated his 80th birthday this week had he lived after suffering heart failure at age of 52. In 1994 popular music lost one if its most original voices. But Eric had been 'gone' long before he was taken. It had been 14 years since Nilsson made an album, and 17 since one had been released in the U.S. He had retired from live performances long before that. But the string of records he released between 1967 and 1977 remain among the most listenable, influential and timeless of the era. Nilsson got his start as a New York-based songwriter in the early '60s, working within the studio system that yielded hits for such high-profile execs and producers like Phil Spector.

10.01.2022 Happy Birthday to 80s Icon Bonnie Tyler who is celebrating her 70th birthday today! Despite a career going back five decades, Tyler says, I’ve done so much in my life, of course I’m 70. But in my head, I’m in still in my forties. I can certainly relate to that. Can you?

08.01.2022 Archie Roach is a singer, songwriter, musician and campaigner for the rights of First Nations Australians. After being forcibly removed from his family at age two, he has overcome teenage alcoholism and homelessness to become an Australian music legend. Archie is about to hit the road on his Tell Me Why tour. At 65 and in declining health, he told me performing is the most invigorating thing he can do. This tour across regional NSW kicks off in August (covid willing) and will be particularly special for him as he tours around Bundjalung country, where his father was from. Check him out below. Tickets for shows are on sale now and you can hear my interview with him coming up on www.abreathoffreshair.com.au

Christone hails from Clarksdale, Mississippi and 662 is named after the area code in Northern Mississippi where Clarksdale is located. The brilliant guitarist recorded the 13-song set in Nashville with frequent collaborator and Grammy-winner Tom Hambridge handling co-writing and producing duties, as he did on Kingfish.
