22.01.2022 Still more highlights on our virtual walk through Utah. Springdale and Zion National Park ...at 378,247 steps Some might say we have left the best for last; Zion is the 4th most visited park in the US with over 4 million visitors annually!... The soaring canyon walls of Zion are the town of Springdale's postcard backdrop. As the gateway to the park, this charming town of 500 permanent residents is home to locally managed hotels, B&B's, farmers markets, art galleries, boutique stores, restaurants and cafes. With more than 35 hiking trails, cliffs towering more than 2,000 feet above the canyon floor, and more species of plants than the Hawaiian Islands, Zion National Park is a pretty incredible place. It's an environment of magic and natural fascination that will challenge what you thought of nature's capabilities and adventures you can have. Take an adventurous scramble up to Angels Landing, a relaxing stroll to Weeping Rock, or a family hike on the Emerald Pools Trails. A hike that's not to be missed is 'The Narrows', following the Virgin River through a narrow gorge, you'll leave the road and the trails, and walk through the water itself. As you walk in the water - anywhere from ankle to chest height, you'll look up between walls that soar up to 2000 feet above you, and you'll spot sandstone grottos and hanging gardens along the way. 16.01.2022 I haven't posted anything for a while as Life as a travel agent only working on Commission has not been an easy one. However I thanks my clients and friends for being so understanding . For more insight into how hard it is for travel agents at present this is a very good article if you have the time to read it. I hope you are all staying safe and doing your best to comply with the rules and regulations no matter how hard they are so that we can finally see a light at the end ...of the Tunnel. Best wishes Sandy [email protected] See more

16.01.2022 During Lock down I have been doing a lot of training sessions on different countries and activities This morning I had a very informative zoom training with Marco who represent some wonderful hotels in Costa Rica including one highlighted in this video called Tabacon, which is a hot springs resort . While I have never known much about Costa Rica after this training and exploring some of the various youtube videos it is now on my bucket list for future travel . While this video is a self drive trip we have access to some excellent tour companies so if this is of interest for the future please send me a message on my email [email protected] . One day we will be able to travel so start planning now.

08.01.2022 Good news for cruising

08.01.2022 The Wave In Kanab is definitely on my bucket list. Our virtual walk though Utah brings us here. Kanab ...at 365,770 steps Here in Kanab you can try your luck to win a lottery! They hold a daily lottery to visit 'The Wave', a wild playground of ancient sandstone. Due to its fragile nature only 20 people per day are permitted to hike in this area. Don't worry, if you aren't lucky enough to get a permit there are countless other activities at your doorstep.... Kanab, is classic American West, surrounded by towering Navajo sandstone cliffs and vistas of sagebrush, this scenery has lured filmmakers to Kanab for nearly 80 years. Abandoned film sets near town have become tourist attractions. The buildings all over town have plenty of movie posters and autographed photos to support Kanab's self-proclaimed title, "Little Hollywood." It is also a great basecamp for road cycling, hiking and canyoneering adventures. Part of being a great basecamp is an abundance of local and diverse dining options, enjoy an array of sit-down dining experiences, including an artisanal bakery, vegetarian wood-fired pizza, New American cuisine with microbrews and craft cocktails at Sego and southwestern and Cajun fusion at Wild Thyme Cafe. Check out our latest video on Kanab by clicking here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX4LxBT-a90 View Link

08.01.2022 Finallly Made it to the next Highlight St. George and Snow Canyon State Park ...at 390,437 steps Congratulations... you have made it!! You are only a 90-minute drive from the bright lights of Las Vegas. Good news is you don't have to drive there for a show, you can experience one right here with 'Broadway in the Desert' at Tuacahn Amphitheatre, built in the shadow of 1500-foot spectacular red rock cliffs, it's a world-class experience. Below the rim of the Great Basin sits ...Utah's warm-weather retreat, the town of St. George. The stunning valley combines transitional land features from the neighbouring basin and Colorado Plateau with the landscapes and wildlife of the Mojave Desert. Red rock mesas and lush waterways create the setting for one of Utah's fastest-growing cities. And just knocking on its doorstep is Snow Canyon State Park, cut by water and sculpted by wind and time, the Navajo sandstone cliffs share the same history and geology as Zion National Park to the east and is part of the larger Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. This place could be a national park. Families, hikers, cyclists and rock climbers alike find canvas for their adventures. Hidden within the mountains above Cedar City is the brilliant geology and vibrant alpine environment of a natural amphitheatre known as the "Circle of Painted Cliffs." Ced...ar Breaks plunges 2,000 feet through colourful eroded limestone, shale and sandstone and offers hikes for all levels, wildlife viewing, sunrises, sunsets, pristine dark skies and camping-all at a breathtaking 10,000 feet above sea level.
