22.01.2022 Buyer Beware !! It pays to have any boat inspected prior to purchase. This old girl came to us with the owner at first thinking they simply needed a new floor and keel repair. Turns out the stringers etc were completely water logged. Then when we inspected the transom..... well..... this is what we found !! Liquid nails holding together what looks to be packing crate sheets..... OMG we have seen some shockers.... BUT this is right up there and seriously dangerous !! Don...'t risk it, get it inspected !! 15.01.2022 This transom came to us rotten and holding lots of water. We cut away the good fibreglass containing the engine well and hatches. Removed all the rotten timber in the transom. Checked all the stringers etc throughout the floor to ensure the rot had not progressed further into the hull and that they were correctly fibre glassed in. Then constructed a new, stronger, yet lighter transom section. In these photos we are reassembling the saved cut fibreglass engine well and side ha...tches with the new transom section and getting everything in place for fibreglass works to commence.
