21.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came and supported the post-Covid re-launch of QLD Sangeet Mela Association, featuring tabla solo by young artist Arun Pillai (with Nikhil Deo on harmonium), and bansuri solo by Darshil A. Shah, with Shen Flindell on tabla. We all had a wonderful time. In the process we more than doubled the membership of our new association. We’re looking forward to more events soon.

17.01.2022 Qld Sangeet Mela Association continues our series of mini Sangeet Melas, this time celebrating the shift to autumn ("sarad") with Indian classical vocal by Mansey Kinarivala and sitar by Scott Benning (Sydney), accompaniment by Joseph Nand (harmonium) and Shen Flindell (tabla). 16.01.2022 Due to difficulties in complying with increased Covid restrictions (up to April 15), we have decided to cancel this event. We are planning our next event on June 26 which will feature sitarist Saikat Bhattacharya (Melbourne) and vocalist Dr Mansey Kinarivala Gandhi. All tickets purchased for this concert will be refunded this week. Many apologies to our supporters.

15.01.2022 Great work by so many top Indian artists! Starts off with with traditional tabla compositions, goes full Indo-jazz fusion towards the end, and finishes with an epic version of one of Zakir-ji’s most favoured compositions.
