25.01.2022 We have been so very excited to be welcoming our dine in customers back even in smaller numbers over the past 2 weeks! We missed you all! Yesterdays announcements by the Premier unfortunately do not change our current arrangements due to the spacing requirements, so we are still limited to a maximum table of 6 and 20 customers inside for each sitting. Due to our reduced trading days and times and restrictions on customer numbers we have transitioned to an online booking sys...tem to make things more convenient for you. You can use the Book Now button on our Facebook page or visit our website at www.sangriatapasbar.com.au to fill in the booking form. Thanks for your all of your support in our first few weeks back. We have been humbled by the kindness extended from those who have come in for a meal or sent us a message of support. It means the world to us!



24.01.2022 We are certainly looking forward to welcoming everyone back from 4 June. Also making a welcome return are all of your favourite seafood dishes to our dine in menu! Our guest capacity has reduced and our quirky venue means that our seating plan is not as flexible as it once was, so we recommend booking in advance if you have a special night planned. 21.01.2022 Well today is our 7th Birthday! We might be celebrating ISO style but we thought that we would share a virtual concept of the fiesta that could have been. The Head Honcho would be back in the bar with sangria's and cervezas (beers!) and sneaky tasters all round and the Senora on the big paella pan cooking up a feast with paella and churros for days!! And we would be surrounded by our big Sangria familia celebrating from the laneway to the balcony! The past 7 years has been qu...ite an adventure and we have met the most wonderful people along the way! From our fabulous customers and suppliers to our awesome team and industry colleagues, we would like to thank you for your support and friendship. 20.01.2022 Today is World Paella Day (pronounced Pay-eh-ah) and we thought that we would celebrate by sharing a recipe in the comments that is easy for you to prepare at home. While we use more traditional methods in the restaurant this recipe will help you to master the fundamentals! We use ingredients from local producers and suppliers including Squirrel Gully Saffron Feed of Fish Bendigo and Meats On Mitchell to create the perfect paella. 18.01.2022 Hola Amigos! We are super excited to announce that we will reopen for dine in service on Thursday 4 June! If you have ever wanted the Sangria VIP private dining experience now is your chance! With government restrictions the largest table we can take is six which will guarantee exclusive use of one floor. Even for smaller bookings at most there will only be one other table how special and safe is that!... Apologies for the long post but there are a few changes that we would like to share with you so that we can ensure your safety, the safety of our staff, as well as comply with new government requirements. For the next few weeks we will be open for dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights so we can make sure that everything is working as planned. Bookings will be required (no walk ins) and bookings must be 6 guests or under (the Victorian government has set this requirement). We will have 2 sittings 6pm to 7:30 and 7.45pm to 9.30 (15 minutes for cleaning and resetting in between sittings). When you arrive and are seated we will need to collect the name and a phone number or email address for each diner, or you can assist us by providing these details when you book. Details are required to be stored by us for 28 days after this they will be destroyed. You can order all of your favourites from the Sangria menu or maybe you might like to choose our set menu option which includes a complimentary drink. We will still offer shared dishes but if you would prefer your meal to be served individually please let our staff know when you order. We have just a few favours to ask you and we are sure you will understand please make sure that you arrive on time for your booking so that we can minimise your contact with other customers this is all part of the VIP experience! If you are unable to keep your booking or the number of guests changes please let us know with as much notice as possible it may enable another Sangria lover the opportunity to enjoy a night out of isolation! And please if you are feeling unwell stay home and get better! Give us a call and we can shift your booking to another night so you can rest and recuperate. We know that there are some people who are still choosing to stay at home except for the essentials. So we will still offer takeaway on the nights we are open but pickup must be between 5 and 6pm as we are trying to minimise customer contact. For this week we are still open for takeaway Friday and Saturday with pick up between 5 and 8pm while we are busy preparing to have you back next week. It’s been a long road back but we can’t wait to see you all again!

15.01.2022 We are calling last drinks for a little while... Team Sangria are taking a Siesta! The Premier announced that dine in for hospitality will cease from 11.59pm Wednesday. Sangria is now closed for dine-in until the end of stage 3 restrictions in September. During the first wave we offered take away, but for us it is safety first, so with the unfolding COVID situation and increasing transmission of cases in our community we believe the right decision for our customers and our te...am and their families is to take a break! We will continue to monitor the situation and will make a return to takeaway as soon as we can. 03.01.2022 Just in time for the sunshine and beautiful balmy Bendigo evenings we have updated our online table booking with some new times so you have more opportunities to dine with us! We have loved having you back and sharing those special moments as you have caught up with family and friends often for the first time in many months! We are sorry for those who have missed out over the past few weeks as our tables have at times booked out very quickly with people booking in advance. ...At this time we are unable to accept walk ins so bookings are essential. We thank you all very much for bearing with us while we implement the ever changing government requirements .... it has been quite a challenge for our planningI We have set up our online booking to make sure that we meet our government requirements for patron numbers and density quotient which means that we can't be as flexible as our pre COVID days. Due to restrictions we are currently restricted to a maximum of 20 customers inside and a maximum table size of 6 customers even outdoors to meet the density requirements of our space. Please note that all tables are re-booked and we ask for your assistance in implementing government requirements by leaving prior to the 1 hour and 45 minute sitting allocated for your table. There are a number of measures in place for the safety of our customers including the requirement to see photo ID prior to seating, and record names and contact details of each customer using a QR code at the table, with face masks to be worn when you leave your table for any reason. We must refuse entry to people from Melbourne so if your circumstances have changed but your photo ID hasn't please make sure you update it before you dine with us. Large fines come into effect from this week across Regional Victoria for non compliance. We thank you for working with us to meet these requirements and appreciate your understanding that we must meet these obligations. We will continue to update you on any changed requirements as they are announced ... but we will get through this!
