23.01.2022 Training carers on advocacy, and their new roles and responsibilities under NDIS and MAC was challenging for me and the carers. We had to go through emotionally-charged discussions.

22.01.2022 So many restructures and amalgamations happening in local government and NGOs. Time to increase worker confidence and marketability. Apply new skills to the demands from the community sector. It is ever so important to learn how to measure outcomes when applying for grants and when trying to prove your worth to funding bodies. 18.01.2022 Such inquisitiveness from a group of senior leaders. They were really scrutinising the Aged Care Changes...and so they should!

15.01.2022 Thrive in the new community sector landscape, learn new ways to source an income...Sponsorship and Grant Writing. Sell any idea through a flash mob communication strategy. Sell any project through a great storytelling. Western Sydney and Sydney venues available https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/human-rights-grants-change-

15.01.2022 Rich discussion at this week's workshops on Change Management and Aged Care Reforms. Service providers have to completely re-think service delivery and re-organising their workforce. Consumers have more power and control.

14.01.2022 So many reforms...Targeted Early Intervention, Domestic Violence, NDIS, Aged Care, etc. NGO and council community services really need to prepare their workforce on so many levels. Great start for the Interagency Sector Seminar organisers who attracted 80+ participants. Facilitated a concurrent session on Grant Seeking, Writing, Sponsorship and Financial Sustainability. Yes, it was jam-packed! Dedicated participants trying to madly write notes even after the session finished while one friendly worker who automatically smiled in the middle of asking a question upon seeing a camera!

12.01.2022 Empowering carers to assist their loved ones to make a complaint.

10.01.2022 Thought some of you may be interested in the following grant opportunity... http://us8.campaign-archive2.com/

07.01.2022 A few grants are open now- digital literacy for older australians, building capacity in australian parents, safer pathways for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women, CALD communities leading prevention, support for fathers, and support for CALD fathers. 05.01.2022 This week, leaders mastered grants, sponsorship and measuring outcomes. They also discussed and reviewed their roles as Change Agents.

05.01.2022 Kudos to local councils requesting training for carers on NDIS and Aged Care Reforms!

05.01.2022 Just facilitated an NDIS Planning workshop for carers. Complete respect for carers continuing to learn all about NDIS, particularly those from CALD backgrounds. Lots of positive changes but also some concerns. Really had to highlight the concept of person-centred approach and consumer rights. Kudos to councils who organised this workshop on behalf of their local residents. We are collaboratively trying to prepare the carers and their loved ones given that many NDIS Planning meetings have only been 1.5 to 2 hours long.

01.01.2022 2 weeks of running professional development courses such as grant writing, sponsorship, understanding government, change management and measuring outcomes.
