10.01.2022 Sankat Mochan Samiti Inc. is once More delighted to announce a grand initiative of community building in conjunction with the City of Monash Celebration for the Second Time of Rang Barse (Shower of Colours) - Festival of Colours, on Sunday 19 March 2017 at Monash University Sports Complex from 11.00 AM to 6.00 PM. The Rang Barse event is to bring the communities and individuals with different cultural, religious and national background to come together and enjoy the feeling of companionship and friendship amongst known and unknowns by sharing the fun of sprinkling and dusting the beautiful dry colours on each other signifying that the Mother nature’s scheme of beautiful colours is nondiscriminatory and it creates a blissful complementary combination of pleasure enjoyed by every one.

10.01.2022 Sankat Mochan Samiti Melbourne, Monash University and the City of Monash are once again proud to announce the Rang Barse Holi Festival of Colours. Now in its third year, the 2018 event will be held on Sunday 11 March from 11am to 6pm on the sport fields near Monash Sport at Clayton Campus. The Holi Festival promises to connect culture through colour, by bringing communities and individuals together from different cultural, religious and national identities and backgrounds. We are going to celebrate this milestone on Saturday 15 Sept 2018 from 03.00 PM onwards till 9:00 PM. It had been a pleasing and inspiring journey all the way through and the improvements which we even did not dream of, were very successfully implemented in the Organization by the grace of divine blessings. SMS is actively involved in Spiritual, Social Welfare and Ed...ucational activities. It is one of the most satisfying experiences to see young families visiting the temple and guiding the young children bowing to the respective deities, taking Aarati, applying tilak on the forehead and getting acquainted with the Puja rituals of our Hindu traditions. In our own little way we are all trying to pass on the good traditions and habits of our spiritual and cultural inheritance to the young generation in a foreign land which to many of us is now our home land for generations to come.
