07.01.2022 I can finally play the last solo of November Rain! And I did all do this while holding in a cough mid-solo!!! At the start of lockdown 2.0 I set myself a lifegoal to learn one of the most awe inspiring guitar solos I ever heard from iconic Guns N Roses song November Rain. I’ve always dreamt of being able to play it and I air guitar this solo more than I actually practice it! It took my months of agonizing practice! I went through periods when I felt so crap about my playing... and wanted to give up and I got depressed and didn’t play for a few days! Then I snapped outta it and tried again and again. I’ve watched every single YouTube tutorial to realize most of them were wrong! I bought this software called Capo to slow down guitar solos and isolate them from the music and it helped so much! I started playing super slow and inching faster every couple of days. I also got a lesson from master guitarist Simon Hosford. But I can finally play this and although it ain’t perfect, it’s a huge leap in my lead guitar playing and I feel so happy about it. I won't bore you with all the insanse stuff I've had to go through over lockdown cos we've all had to deal with our shit, but sometimes literally all I have is my guitar. It's such an incredible blessing to be able to play guitar and make music and heal yourself and give others joy!!! It was also my late father’s birthday yesterday. I dedicate this achievement to him! Miss you daddy!

05.01.2022 Hey i did a fun interview with my mate Sam Cooper's The Confessional podcast about my music journey so far :)

05.01.2022 I got to play a guitar solo for one of my fav punk bands The Dirt Radicals on a really cool internet collab and the song came out today on their latest D-sides EP. What an honour and what an incredible band! The Dirt Radicals are a band from Australia & Japan and started out in Singapore and went on to do incredible things internationally. I really think you should give them a listen on Spotify! Thank you Sam Cooper Mas Kimura & @MattCooper Check out here:... https://open.spotify.com/track/5FcpIoDcdQTwShRVANIjTF See more
