25.01.2022 St Anthony’s presents to you the Stations of the Cross. This week our students have been learning about the events of Holy Week - a time when Christians around the world celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Our Religious Education Leader, Steph Webb, together with our staff and students have created and captured the events of The Stations of the Cross through drama which has been videoed. Every class will view and reflect on the enactment today and tomorrow.

21.01.2022 This morning St Anthony’s had a special ANZAC Day Assembly. Our student leaders proudly led our school community as we paused and reflected on the service and sacrifice of those who have served in defence of our nation, and those who continue to serve today. We were honoured to have the presence of the Mayor of Dandenong Council Angela Long. We were also privileged to listen to The Last Post played by Allan from our Local RSL.

21.01.2022 Student designed eSafety posters are good reminders whilst we are all on online environments for such long periods.

13.01.2022 Celebrating all the hub leaders in our schools for working tirelessly this year and putting their community first. What a year it has been so far. If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it is how valuable community support and connection are. For many of us, it has been the phone calls from friends checking in or celebrating the big moments with family via Zoom that has helped us through this pandemic. The hubs program has never been more important, to reach those that are feel...ing isolated and disconnected. For our communities, hub leaders have been that friend, reaching out, checking in, and offering support wherever it is needed. At St Anthony's we are grateful for Lisa and Deb who work so hard to connect our community. See more

We will send you a link to join the classroom once we have your permission form. Details to remember: Start date - 13th September 2020 Time - 10.30 am to 11.00 am Link to submit a request form to join, https://forms.gle/vhnhdVCQ2TjvUBiq6 (the point is we want to make a safe online environment for children) As always, Childrens liturgy will be interactive. This will be a great opportunity for your child/ren to join.

12.01.2022 Rock star remote learners all around us!!! Roarsome and radiant. We celebrate their resilience, their strength and their motivation.

11.01.2022 Fathers Day As we near this most auspicious day, When we celebrate fathers in the most lovely way, We are called to reflect on the ways of a dad, And all of those moments that many of us have had,... Of love and dedication, of teaching us things, Like changing a tyre and technical things, Like checking the oil in your brand new car, Like that time when he came to rescue you from afar, Like countless occasions when he sat to teach you things, Like holding you close and the comfort that brings, Like holding your hand on your hardest day, And that time he chased the monsters away, And every single time when you let him down, And hed still have your back and drive you around town, Hes the king of castle, He does dad jokes on cue, Hes the master of the barbecue, He champions the road trip, And he loves a home cooked dinner, Hes passionate about his kids, To his kids he is a winner! Without our dads and father figures wherever would we be? Without the guiding influence of a stepdad or grandee? Of an uncle or a brother or a treasured family friend, A guiding fatherly role model of any type or blend? We absolutely love them whatever form they come in, They are simply unforgettable, precious, loving, stunning, Happy, happy Fathers Day to every one who dads, Happy, happy fathers day to all our lovely lads!!! With love to all of our families on Fathers Day 2020 together, some apart, many separated by country, by state, some already gone, many just not able to visit. We are with you. We are thinking of you. Patrika and the team https://drive.google.com//1bo-2H-aK9LIWXXUHl4fno3vI8/view

10.01.2022 The more toast and delicious sandwiches we eat over the school holidays the better! Why? Because all the empty bread bags & tags can be brought into school on the first week of Term 3 for recycling. Check out this cool video made by some passionate (and creative) recyclers at St Anthony's School, Noble Park. They want to spread their recycling message far and wide. So in their own words - "Let's recycle!" #wonderrecyclingreward

08.01.2022 1 0 0 - P O I N T - C H A L L E N G E This is a very engaging and adaptable practical activity. You can use it remotely or face-to-face, and across a variety of year levels, abilities and units of work. It also makes a great National #HPEDay activity (Wed 2 Sep). HOW: Students try and accumulate as many points as they can, with the maximum score being 100. A huge thank you to Michael from St. Bedes, Mentone for sharing this activity that his Year 8 boys enjoyed (weve ...just formatted it a little). * Implementation: Michael completed this activity with his students remotely. He gave them two 60 min lessons to do as much as they could (and had other activities ready to go in case students finished early or had enough). Other ideas include: * Add bonus points for extra activities * Change the skill based activities to match the unit you are completing. * Ask students to create their own 100 point challenge to share with a friend (this will also have them think through the activity progressions to allocate the points accordingly). DOWNLOAD HERE: PDF (Fillable) Students can type their points earned directly into the document and save: http://bit.ly/PEMadeEasy-100PointChallenge
