20.01.2022 Stage 2 Additional Online Learning Resources Dear Parents and Carers On behalf of the staff I want to thank you for your support of the school as we navigate these challenging times. The school wants to assist you as much as possible as you support your children with their learning whilst at home. ... This week Stage 2 students have been provided with a Learning from Home Resource Pack. Stage 2 teachers have been developing additional learning resources and activities for online access at home and school. These learning activities will cover one week at a time and will be updated on Monday. These activities are now accessible for the remainder of this week. In Google Classroom there is a Google Doc timetable with recommended activities for Stage 2 students to complete at home and school. Students have the option of completing these activities online using Google Docs, in their homework book or on a piece of paper. Each day is colour coded; students will need to scroll down to see the whole day. Each session should be no longer than one hour and it is recommended that students have rest breaks before commencing the next session. In the timetable are websites and documents that can be accessed by clicking on the blue hyperlinks. Instructions for accessing Google Classroom Stage 2 teachers have created a video to explain how to access Google Classroom and navigate the Google Doc timetable. This can be accessed via: https://bit.ly/SSPSOnlineLearning On a PC, Google Chrome is the recommended browser for using Google Classroom. On an iPad you should download the Google Classroom App and Google Docs. If students have any issues using the Google Doc they should try to seek support at home from an older sibling or adult. If there is no one who can assist at home, please contact the school via Google Classroom comment/private message. 12.01.2022 Chickenpox Update: Dear Parents and Carers We have recently been notified that a student at Sans Souci Public School has been diagnosed with Chickenpox.... Symptoms Slight fever, runny nose and a rash that begins as raised pink spots that blister and scab. Return to school Keep home from school for 5 days from the onset of the rash and until the blisters have dried. How can I help prevent spread? Pregnant women and anyone with a compromised immune system (e.g. due to cancer or certain treatments) may require preventive treatment and/or exclusion for their own protection. Contact your local public health unit for advice. Immunise your child at 18 months of age against chickenpox.
