24.01.2022 Taking time out to relax, regroup and reflect on how to do things differently is important in all areas of your life, especially when growing a business. Learning from your experiences is central to continually improving your business and you can't do this when you are too busy 'doing' I am half way through my mini-family holiday and I am approaching that magic time, when the adrenaline of working long days has left my system and my brain is thinking creatively again.... I can see the bigger picture and I am excited to get back to work as I can see how I can make things work even better. I can't wait to get implementing again! ..... but for now I am going to enjoy my family time How are you taking some time out this Easter to relax and reflect? #supportsmallbusinesss #smallbusinessesmatter #mindfulnessretreat #mindfulnessliving

17.01.2022 Easter is a bit different at Ningaloo - the Easter bunny knows that the temperature often reaches 40C at this time of year and that we are living off solar power with limited fridge space for chocolate, and that leaving foil wrapped Easter eggs around for the wildlife to eat is not a good idea. This year we are having a chocolate free Easter (well almost) and we could not be happier. The Easter bunny left our kids lots of craft activities and gifts instead, and we are too b...usy to eat chocolate anyway. I think we could learn a lot from life in the bush. . I hope you are having a lovely day with your family and not eating too much chocolate. #easterweekend #easter #happyeaster

17.01.2022 2021 Budget and everything you need to know about superannuation Especially important as a business owner Superannuation Guarantee (SG) will increase from 9.5%-10% as of July 1st 2021... the $450 threshold for SG payments will be scrapped as of July 1st 2022 This is a big one for small business owners who employ casual/part-time workers that earn less than $450 per month - at the moment they are not required to pay SG, but this will change in the 2023 FY, potentially increasing the wage bill by up to 10% Scrapping the $450 threshold is aimed to help low income earners, or workers with multiple casual jobs, receive super. This equates to around 300,000 workers, 63% of whom are women, who don't receive super at the moment. I do believe this is a good move for the community: around 200,000 women who don't receive super will start to get it under the change young people who work multiple casual jobs and don't receive super will start to get it under the change But it will affect small business owners What are your thoughts on the changes to superannuation in the 2021 Budget? Good news or not so good news? #smallbusiness #superannuation
