25.01.2022 RESULTS First of all, thank you to all of our paddlers for your patience with the results today. Unfortunately, our timing system had a malfunction which meant we have spent the last few hours manually going through the results as a team to ensure the results are correct. We have made the decision not to post the times, as we are aware that there are a few issues with these. We are confident that the positions in each category are correct however, if you believe that any of t...hese are wrong, please send us a direct message and we will rectify the situation as soon as possible! Apart from the malfunction of the timing system, it was a great day on the water! Thankyou to Matt Burrage for coordinating the water cover with Goolwa, Chiton Rocks and Port Elliot and also to Surf Life Saving South Australia for their support of our series. It was great to have a few interstate paddlers come and join us, so thank you to Luke Morrison, Michael Venis and Steven Brinkley for coming out to the race. We hope to see all of you back in Adelaide in the future. The race started with wave 1 leaving Victor Harbor, headed for Wright Island at 10am. It was great to see our U19 girls going head to head with some of the guys, in particular two of our over 60s, Wayne Jones and Dave Myatt who along with some others lead the way over to Port Elliot. About 10 minutes later, wave 2 left Victor Harbor at an incredible pace. Race winner Luke Morrison missed the start, but caught the lead guys around Wright Island and then powered ahead. The swell was rolling in over the right shoulder of all of the paddlers and bouncing off Granite Island making it a bumpy ride into Port Elliot. Fran Kidd had an excellent paddle, powering along only just behind the top few open men which is an incredible feat for our talented female paddler! Coming into Port Elliot is always an experience, although not as treacherous as last year! Congratulations to Luke Morrison and Francesca Kidd on their overall wins. We will reveal our overall series winners at our presentation in a couple of weeks. The details for this will be confirmed later this week, so we hope all of you will be able to join us for a celebration of the series. Finally, a huge thank you to our series sponsors - Shaw and Partners, Fenn, RJE Global, Wayne Jones Funerals, Bennett Paddles, Epic, Vaikobi, World Paddle and Beavis Plumbing. Without these sponsors - none of this would happen! Keep an eye out for some more photos from todays race! Thanks to Amanda Luetolf for the two of our race winners - more to come!

25.01.2022 A small group of paddlers launched at Port Noarlunga today and paddled down to Moana and back. It wasn’t so much fun heading down but they managed to crack a few good waves on the way back! A good way to round out a post - race recovery week

07.01.2022 Photo Album is going to be massive! I've combined forces with Linda MacKay from Christies who got some great photos with me at the start and then some awesome pics of you catching some waves into Pt Elliot (and a seal). I've taken the finish. It will take me ages to get them up on Facebook in the correct order ( Facebook messes them up) so you may see the album forming but it won't be complete for a while. So go to bed and come back in the morning ...! Amanda x

06.01.2022 We love having Clint come to Adelaide and teach us a thing or two. We know everyone is working hard on their technique to impress next time!

05.01.2022 A huge thankyou must go to Surf Life Saving South Australia, in particular to Daniel Willetts for his assistance in organising our water safety and for the support of our series. In race 1, Christies Beach SLSC and Port Noarlunga SLSC provided water cover for our paddlers and they did a fantastic job in keeping everyone safe. For race two, Seacliff SLSC ensured we were able to have 70 paddlers out on the water, so a huge thankyou to the members from these clubs for volunteering their time, allowing us to have a great day on the water!

04.01.2022 RACE 2 FEEDBACK Thank you to the large number of competitors and spectators who completed the race 2 feedback survey. We appreciate those who took the time to help improve our events for the future. This is just a summary of some of the results over the four questions asked. Q1 was about the use of the entry system. All paddlers found this easy to use which is reassuring to us, so this is not something we will change at the moment. We implemented feedback from the last time ...regarding displaying if the paddler was on a SPEC or Ocean ski which was well received. Q2 asked about the start time of the race. Most competitors thought the timing of the race was ideal, however some thought that having more flexibility in the timing related to wind conditions would be better (similar to previous feedback). We will continue to wait as long as we can to decide the start time based on the conditions. We must take into consideration our water cover volunteers who need a reasonable amount of notice time. Q3 asked about the adequacy of the safety provisions. All competitors agreed that safety was a high priority for our organisers, with plenty of visible water safety on the course. The addition of the SafeTrx App was again mentioned as a big positive. We can still do better at this with regards to some competitors having difficulty with the app. The final question asked about any ideas for future races or comments. A few people mentioned issues with the start waves. We will continue to tweak the way we divide the field between start waves so bear with us while we work out the best solution to this. There was also mention of an official presentation at the end of the race. We plan to have a large post - race presentation to wrap up the series following the next race - more details soon. Ideas such as drink stations, announcing paddlers as they finish and having more races are things we can consider for the future as we continue to grow the series. Thank you again to everyone for the feedback - we are always looking for ways we can improve! Looking forward to seeing everyone at our series finale down South!
