22.01.2022 A few closeups of the plants on our display table at Society meeting last night. Such a lovely display provided by our members.
22.01.2022 What a wonderful turnout for our first meeting for 2021 with close on 40 members joining together. Joyce, as usual, provided us with a demonstration on taking cuttings of our Zonals. Next month she will be looking more at the Regal Pelargoniums. Lorraine provided us with some history of Pelargoniums which everyone found to be extremely interesting. Gave us some insight into why our plants are named the way they are and why we should always be careful to name them correctly. I did record both speakers - this time just as a movie which I wish to edit before loading onto YouTube. Once this is done I will advise where you may view them. Lorraine’s presentation will also be in our next edition of the Journal.

19.01.2022 It was lovely to see so many members come along to the AGM last night. This was followed with a General Meeting where Joyce enlightened us all on pruning Regals. Joyce gave a couple of members the opportunity to prune a pellie each as she gave guidance. Watch for the link to YouTube later in the week. Derrick Kendrick also gave a very interesting 5 minutes talk about his experiment with P. Fulgidum. This will be reproduced in the June journal. A few members brought along some of their Pelargoniums for the display table. Photos below. Enjoy.

15.01.2022 Even though we received a number of apologies for various reasons from our members, it was pleasing to see over 20 members attend our monthly meeting last night. Unfortunately, Joyce was not able to be present so Heather filled in and gave us some useful hints of how to prepare our plants for the Display/Show Table. Below is a photo of the Species plants brought along by our members.

07.01.2022 Back in 2006 there was an International Pelargonium and Geranium Conference held at the Geelong Botanic Gardens, Victoria. Members of the SA society were fortunate enough to attend. A CD was produced at the conference of the Australian Collection of Pelargoniums and Geraniums and we have not put this into a YouTube presentation. The first one is photos of A to E of our plants. Permission to produce this has been given by the Geelong Botanic Gardens... More will be produced overtime - keep watching this space https://youtu.be/CP7eW_g_AT0
