24.01.2022 #PlayTogetherPlayWell! Though we're not quite ready to return just yet to spinkick the ball into goal and play alongside our teammates for #PowerchairFootball, we're still chomping at the bit and excited for that day to come and play our beautiful game again! So until that day arrives, we'll stay ready to take the necessary measures to ensure everyone's health and wellbeing in this new COVID-19 reality once we come back. You can take the necessary measures too by follow...ing the steps in the video to ensure safety for yourself and those around you! Well done Inclusive Sport SA, SA Recreation and Sport and Spacequake Sportsfor supporting this Return to Sport Accessible Communication Initiative for all diverse and inclusive sports communities! 24.01.2022 Today is World Duchenne Awareness Day! Each year on September 7 provides everyone with an opportunity to raise the profile of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy to the wider community. It provides a platform to inform people on the efforts throughout the world to help promote quality of life and potential interventions for individuals and families living with DMD. Our former and current playing group have all been touched by the experiences of DMD either directly or indirectly.... It is something we hold dear, and hope that organisations nationally and around the world continue the efforts to improve quality of life and support for people with DMD, and maybe one day a cure can be found. If you would like to know more about the day and what resources are available for DMD, please check out the links below for more information: https://www.worldduchenneday.org/ https://theloopcommunity.org/ https://www.saveoursons.org.au/

Thank you for pushing the envelope and paving the way for our next generation of girls and women in sport! #IWD2020 #EachForEqual

22.01.2022 We are deeply saddened to share the news of Anthony Ambrosini's passing on Monday. One of Western Australia's most beloved powerchair sports athletes, he most recently represented Perth Glory at the 2020 APFA Club Championships in January. His attacking-orientated game meant that he was always a looming and dangerous opponent to account for in play, and his love of sports and competitive fire was evident to see both on and off the court. He'll be sorely missed by our powerchair community, the greater powerchair sports community within Australia, and by many people who had the privilege of crossing paths with Anthony over his journey. Vale Anthony, our thoughts go out to his beloved family and friends.

21.01.2022 Bruce Djite couldn't have put it better. Some great insight from our Adelaide United Director of Football on Q+A earlier this week emphasising the need for sports and football programs to survive and thrive during this Covid era and beyond. Football undoubtedly is the most inclusive sport in the world, as highlighted by the club's involvement with #PowerchairFootball amongst the varying levels and styles of football programs at grassroots level!

08.01.2022 Campbelltown City Soccer & Social Club came out victorious against the Adelaide Comets Powerchair FC last Saturday in the opening round of the 2020-2021 SA Powerchair Football Championship! 1 The first game of the season saw City overwhelm the Comets and capitalise on costly errors to win comfortably. Captain Santo Bongiovanni and midfielder Jonathan Grigg bagged multiple goals to lead their team to victory. 2 The second contest of the day was tight to begin with as ...both teams struck the goals twice to be level on 2-2. The final stretch of the second half however saw City pulled away to win with two late goals against the Comets. Campbelltown City's captain Santo Bongiovanni was major in his influence over the day, coming away from the games with two hat tricks to his name. Leading the goals for the Comets were Rosie Milton and Chantel Bongiovanni, who registered goals in the second encounter. Comets' Jonathan Nguyen and City's Nathan Van Roy both registered two assists at the conclusion of Saturday's matches after putting in a solid effort over the two games. Join us next Saturday as we will be back for our second week of the season at The Lights Community and Sports Centre!
