24.01.2022 There have been a lot of rumours going around that our festival is coming to an end........While the rumour is correct, the reasons surrounding it appear way off the mark. This year will unfortunately be the final Sapphire Coast Rock 'n' Rodders Festival. This decision has been an extremely difficult one to make and it saddens us to have to make it. Kerry and I have worked tirelessly to organise and manage the Festival and are greatfull to Club Sapphire for handling the ticke...t sales and for allowing us the use of their venue. Due to many factors that include the increasing difficulty of sourcing quality bands, escalating costs and reliability issues, we have arrived at a point where our Festival has become more than just Kerry and myself can manage effectively. Most Festivals of this nature operate with a Committee, along with the full support of the local Council and business sectors, but in our case in Merimbula, it is just Kerry and I that carry the full load. We hope that all of you that come along this year once again enjoy yourselves and both Kerry and I thank all those that have supported our Festival over the past 10 years, from the bottom of our hearts.......We will truly miss the fun, atmosphere and cherish our friendship with you all........See you in a couple of weeks Lyndon & Kerry See more

11.01.2022 Thank you to all of you for travelling to Merimbula and supporting our Sapphire Coast Rock 'n' Rodder's Festival over the past 10 Years......It has been a real blast and both Kerry and myself have not only made some great new friends, but have also been able to annually catch up with most of our old Friends from Melbourne and beyond........In fact, we both trust that we can consider each and everyone of you who have consistently graced us with your presence each, as our friends.........Keep on Rockin' and we will see you all around the traps, or in Merimbula should you find that you can't stay away from this lovely little spot on the map..........DON'T FORGET TO TURN THE SOUND ON..

10.01.2022 A peach of a day In Merimbula. Sunshine, Rod's & Coffee. Not bad at all.

09.01.2022 THE LAST BLAST! The event I most look forward to every year is the Saphire Coast Rock and Rodders 50's and 60's Festival brilliantly arranged by Kerry and Lynd...on for the last 10 years has come to an end...there were many many sad dancers at this years event...........Not that you easily could tell by all the fun and laughter everyone was having. As usual, the event was brilliantly run by Kerry and Lyndon, what champion people, the venue is fantastic, the vibe is amazing and the bands are an absolute pleasure to rock on too. This year they had a new band, to me at least, the Honky Tonk Rockers, a little bit country, a little bit swing and a lot of rock and roll, what a great band. Then, of course, we had the great band Fender Benders who have been rocking the dancers at this event for 9 years, such a fantastic band. And last but not least, Lyndon's own band Shadoogie, phewwww. what a treat, seeing Lyndon share an emotional reunion on stage for a few numbers with some of his old musician mates playing together for the first time in 40 years. Then, of course, the grand finale when all the bands get on stage and jam was amazing, they had everyone on their feet cheering at the conclusion. We will all be sad to see the finish of this event. But 10 years on and Lyndon and Kerry with their band of helpers have just rocked over 200 people's worlds, again. A genuine heartfelt thanks for the great times and memories Kerry and Lyndon from all your mates from the FIFO Gang. P'S..we have all booked the cabins for next year again so the FIFO Gang from all over the country can get together again, so expect a visit. FIFO Headquarters. One of the highlights of many highlights at this event is getting back to FIFO Headquarters after each nights entertainment and partying on. This year was no exception, some crazy antics were played out, lots and lots of laughs, at various peoples expense, handed out by the grand PooBa, Reverend Cads. (no one under the age of 50 was harmed in any way). The Pest was in fine form, Cusso contributed according to how much beverage he consumed, Starter Buttons let loose and those bloody Mexican FIFO Cousins really stole the show. Snappers undies were treated with total disrespect as the natural laws allowed, and two poor snappers died and graced Queen Snappers feet...mooooooooooooooooooo!....Rooted Unit, well he was still rooted, Would be Superman, (BigAl) was hamstrung by miss kryptonite. Until the last night at least when a couple of strong glasses of Baileys took their toll and Miss Kryptonite shed the scales, took the floor, (which must have been swaying going by her wabble). and demonstrated an impromptu dance move. Took a while to find one the Mexicans could cope with though...lol.. To say we had a ball would be an understatement..... Thanks all for your doctoring support and concern....its good to have friends Shaggers..,
