15.01.2022 Well....what a year this week has been. Many have lost homes, livestock and businesses, not to mention loved ones. I can’t begin to comprehend the loss. For those of us more fortunate, who want to help, I encourage you to donate to Errol and Joyanne. If you came along to any of the three FTF’s held last winter, you may have sat on a chair or a milk crate that Joyanne and Errol donated use of for the events. These are the sort of people that help and give whereever they can, and expect nothing in return. They are community. Now they’ve lost everything and my heart aches for them. 12.01.2022 Community I never in my wildest dreams imagined what a community event the Food Truck Friday’s would become! Everyone from babies to great great grandmothers came out (in the depths of winter) to catch up with family and friends, sit around the heaters and fire pits, and enjoy some amazing street food together. Some of my favourite comments from the events were...... I live on a farm and normally don’t go out much, but it was great to get out tonight (in w...inter!), it was like a high school reunion! I’ve seen so many people I haven’t seen in ages! And.... I loved the all inclusivity of it, it was like a big party but everyone was invited Today I’m signing a community grant provided to the Food Truck Collective to assist with the winter 2020 series of events. It means so much that our council sees what this event brings to our community, and is helping to ensure the events continue. 12.01.2022 We were stoked to recently be contacted by the NRL to get some local Bega Valley food trucks along to this amazing event. Not only are the Panthers playing the Eels , but there is also a free concert afterwards on the field next to the footy - with none other than Amy Shark headlining!! Don’t miss it and don’t forget to support our local food truckers who have all suffered loss of business (and sadly property as well for some) during the bushfire crisis. 01.01.2022 Winter 2020 Season CANCELLED It brings me so much sadness to confirm that the Winter 2020 Season of Food Truck Friday will not be going ahead. We were geared up to bring you the best season of FTF yet, with a proposed six events from Eden to Bermi and inland to Candelo, running from May to August. And it would’ve been just what we all needed after the summer we had, to come together as a community, for good times, good food, and smiles all round! But unfortunately, due... to current covid-19 restrictions (and future uncertainty) for large events, I’ve been left with no choice but to cancel all winter events for 2020. I’d like to thank the venues I’ve had discussions with for their support, along with all the amazing food truckers who are the backbone of these events.
