22.01.2022 2020 Sapphire Cup - What a fantastic weekend of racing!! Always is, always will be the best atmosphere, fun & affordable racing at SCKC!! The club sends out a massive THANKS to our sponsors for the event, we appreciate your generosity & support ... This year we were lucky to have a ‘Sapohire Cup Champion’ perpetual trophy donated by Darcy Cox which together we decided the trophy would go to someone that’s had a good wknd, showing determination and sportsmanship (not neces...sarily a win)... the job of choosing this person was given to our founding members, John Deborre, Murray Watts & Pip Barker..... The driver they chose was our new member, Ryan Johnson, this was Ryan’s 1st race meeting & he handled himself and his race wknd perfectly. Thankyou also to Eric our landlord who continues to support SCKC!! The club also welcomes our future cadet 9 stars, Lachlan, Laura & Kayley who all did well with there practice round on the wknd!! Thanks to Tom Williamson for venturing down and offering a driver training day for those members who signed up to it, very successful Saturday & Sunday!! 04.01.2022 What a fantastic weekend!!! SCKC was proud to host the 2020 NSW State Championship!! Although Mother Nature produced some freezing cold and windy days the racing was hard and fast!!!! Great results for many, our own club members held their own up against some tough competition!! Motorsport is a tough gig, plenty of highs and plenty of lows... but all competitors showed some real class & it’s a credit to all drivers who gave it a crack!! ... Sapphire Coast Kart Club is a small family friendly club that is growing through the dedication of its members & after holding such a successful prestigious event all those involved deserve a huge THANKYOU !! Leading up to such an event there is so much preparation involved, we appreciate those who work behind the scenes to make it happen!! On the day continued efforts from volunteers, officials & members are also needed to run the event, we appreciate each & everyone of you!! A huge Thanks to all competitors for entering & putting on an awesome show of racing!!
