15.01.2022 Caravan Number 69 joined the SJA fleet today and was immediately towed to a site for use by a family in need. Yes, SJA has 69 caravans on loan throughout Bega Valley Shire! An amazing effort.
15.01.2022 The Bega student climate strike supported by parents and other concerned individuals was well attended today (Friday 21/05/21). SJA flew the banner and we were really impressed by the passion, energy and concern of the students and the speakers. One young person spoke of her concerns" of what the world could look like in 25 years when 70 percents of our crops have failed and people are starving."... Our SJA Secretary Dianne Beckett spoke of how sad she felt that it's left to our students to lead the way on climate action. They should just be being kids SJA Forces for nature group strongly advocate and demand climate action NOW. A gas lead recovery is not an option and clean renewable energy is the only way to go. We've listened to our Scientists during Covid... we need to listen and ACT now before the tipping point means there is no chance of return. Thanks Wendy

Plenty of space to keep the distance. Please send me any nominations, for yourself or for others (with their knowledge and consent). Convenor positions as well as Executive positions (Chair, Vice Chair, Public Officer, Secretary and Treasurer) will be vacated. I have had nominations from Michael Brosnan and Gavin Bell to act as Co-chairs. 03.01.2022 Did you know today is Mabo Day? Mabo Day (June 3) marks the last day of Reconciliation Week and also the day that the High Court handed down their decision to g...rant land rights to the people of Mer in 1992. Unfortunately this ten year battle came to an end six months after Eddie Mabo’s death, but his incredible fight certainly paved the way for Native Title decisions right around Australia! Our Upper primary students learnt a lot about Eddie Mabo this week and we all agree that he is an incredibly deadly man!!! See more
