24.01.2022 2020! 2020 has been one crazy and unprecedented year. It started out with an eagerness to be the best year yet and then life flipped the switch. From the craziness of the corona virus to at home classes today restrictions and plans changing weekly, we have preserved through it all as a family and came out of it all stronger than we ever believed we could be. Everyone has faced struggles but the love for our community has made it just a touch easier. Corona couldn’t stop us c...elebrating 10 years of Sapphire Dance Academy and we have ended that decade in style to enter the next covered in hope, strength and glitter! All of us here at Sapphire Dance Academy couldn’t be prouder of all our students and how much they have grown this year. We cannot wait to see you all back in the studio in the new year ready to jump into a fantastic year of learning , experiences and personal growth. We hope you have a happy, safe and fabulous new year and we can’t wait to see you all on January 16th for our enrollment day (please remember that communication may by delayed until January 4th but we will do our best to respond to messaged and emails).

13.01.2022 On Tuesday the 21st of July Miss Emily will be running a free trial Tiny Tumblers class from 4.30-5.00. This will be included in our $5 casual classes but we really need a minimum of 3 kids to be able to run the class weekly. So for all of our Little Gems and Princesses come along and try out this class for free

At Sapphire Dance Academy we want our teacher’s to be as passionate as the students themselves which is why we have implemented a new process for volunteering to be a student teacher and to ensure everyone has a fair chance at trying a new aspect to dance. Please ensure you complete the application form (emailed to you) by January 1st to put your name in the running for 2021. If you have not received this email or would like it... sent to a different address please contact the page so we can arrange it Current student teachers must also compete an application form as being a teacher in 2020 does not guarantee a position for 2021. A decision will be made who will assist with classes by the 16th of January (so if you approach us at enrollment day you will be denied a teaching position for term 1 )

12.01.2022 Hi Sapphire Family; (An email will be sent soon which includes more information, we are having technical difficulties at the moment) It is with a very heavy heart that we write this announcement, as it is the last thing any of us wanted, but unfortunately due to new government restrictions Sapphire Dance Academy will have to close our doors for at least the next few weeks, possibly the next few months.... As Im sure youre all aware these are unique circumstances, and while we fully support the decisions the government is making to slow the spread of this virus it does not hurt us any less. We want to do everything we can to keep our Sapphire family together, so we can come out the other side of this in tact as a studio, and as such are currently organising a way to provide activities, combinations and routines to all of our Gems so we can continue to support each other in this difficult time. More information on this is to come this week, so stay tuned. As many of you know it has always been a struggle to keep financially afloat, which is why we need your support now more than ever in this challenging time. If you have fees outstanding please contact Miss Jenny to arrange a payment plan, and if your children currently attend Sapphire please support us in our new format during this closure. We are already looking forward to and planning for our re-open after this shutdown, with Choreography night scheduled to take place as soon as we are allowed. We are missing all our Gems already, but if we all stay involved with the Sapphire family through our facebook group (always feel free to post videos of you children and their own choreo/practicing/new tricks!) this time apart will fly by. 07.01.2022 Hi Everyone. This is the last week that we will be adding people for concert items/costumes. As much as I want to be able to keep adding people we cant just because with ordering costumes from overseas we need to allow time for them to get here. So for our casual classes today and Thursday are the cut off and for our regular classes Saturday is the cut off. We have spare costume deposit forms at the Studio for anyone who doesnt have one yet. Please speak to Miss Jenny or Miss Emily if you have any questions about the Concert. Thank you

06.01.2022 The count down is on! Make sure costumes are sewed, make up is sorted and stockings are checked because it’s only 1 week until the dress rehearsal!! Make sure you check all your emails for all the important notes that will make next Sunday run smoothly. Don’t forget the teachers at the studio on Tuesday and Thursday if you need to pop in for any last minute questions or demonstration
