23.01.2022 It’s been an incredible fortnight back in England with my absolute favourite little girl. She has had me in fits of giggles, singing my heart out, climbing in boxes, dancing along to Peppa Pig Live, sliding around soft play, dashing for the potty on many, many occasions, leaping from my bed at 2am when she woke...she has melted my heart on so many occasions; whether it’s climbing into my arms when I picked her up early from daycare, or when she told me I’m not her auntie, I’...m her friend... I have shed so many happy tears this holiday! 1 day left together before I head back to Australia - must get some better photos of myself with the little girl who has both my middle name and heart (The real purpose of this post was to let all parents know I’m back in Queensland from TUESDAY 25TH FEBRUARY but I got all distracted by my heart being so full of love, gratitude and pride ) Disclaimer: no makeup on the brush and context was just about how the brush felt on face!!! (soft was the conclusion drawn, for all those on the edge of their seats)

10.01.2022 I would highly recommend Sara! She instantly created a connection to my little boy and was very confident and competent in caring for him. Peppa Pig Live and toilet training are going to be highlights I’m available for babysitting Friday 1st Feb, Saturday 2nd Feb, Sunday 3rd Feb then taking a break until March. 01.01.2022 Today was filled with so much slime (until we ran out of cornflour) and so much laughter. Little Miss 3yo and Little Mr 6yo were an absolute pleasure to have today. Like....ABSOLUTE. Some highlights were:... - The manners! Oh my gosh, the manners! So many 'pleases' and 'thank yous' without any prompt! - The patience of big brother at the park when little sister can't ride her bike as fast - The imagination of them both! We were sharks, aligators, robbers, police.. - The awe at blowing glowing bubbles in a darkened room - The excitement at colour mixing with dyes in the slime - This conversation "Are you a mum?" "No I'm not, but one day I'd like to be." "So, you're a teenager?" (I guess you can't be an adult without having children haha!) - Discussing Australian snakes and spiders - Being asked to sing "Wind the bobbin up" repeatedly while preparing dinner - Being asked for more of my mashed potato because apparently it's delicious - The confusion of why I live so far away from my mummy and daddy (I, too, question it sometimes! ) - Knowing mum and dad were able to have a great day at the races with their friends from interstate with peace of mind their children were safe, happy and having fun See more
