07.01.2022 Yesterday Sarah and I had the opportunity to meet with Dr Ahmad Hilli to discuss how we can work together to improve the health of our patients. Dr Hilli gradua...ted from The University of Melbourne medical school in 2002 (MBBS). He served his internship at the Ballarat Health Services in 2003. He then moved to the Northeast of Victoria and practiced in Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Corowa as part of his General Practice training (FRACGP). Along the way, he achieved a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) and gained his Anaesthetics qualification (JCCA). He also learnt the skills of doing baby male circumcision using the Plastibell technique through a well-known Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Albury/Wodonga region, Dr Pieter Mourik. In 2008 he returned to Melbourne where he worked as a GP Anaesthetist. In 2015 he finalised his Masters in Family Medicine (MFM) where he gained more in depth understanding of general practice and improved his teaching skills. In 2018 he became a qualified acupuncturist after completing Part-1 of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College qualification (AMAC Part-1). He is accredited to deliver Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) for Medicare purposes. He is also an examiner with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) since the end of 2013. During the last 10 years he continued to serve the rural communities through locum services which saw him going to several regional areas including Apollo Bay, Bundaberg, Gracemere, Tieri, and Horsham. He also had the pleasure to serve a few First Nation People communities in Gladstone, Wadeye, Alice Springs, and Ballarat. On the 1st of May 2020, Mind & Body Care Integrative Medical Centre was officially open in Elmhurst. If you would like to book an appointment with Dr Ahmad Hilli call (03) 53548431 or visit his website www.mindandbodycare.com.au for more information
