24.01.2022 Dressed, joined and sanded the boards to create this gorgeous timber bench top for client to install. Looks fantastic all finished and in situ!

22.01.2022 With the left over triangles from cutting the brackets for the natural edge shelves, I put together three little boards with black resin detail... Great as trivets, mini serving platters or table decoration...

22.01.2022 Door is hung and swings beautifully! Had some indispensable help to fit it last week and it looks great in its new home. (As per the client's wishes, the design is a good match for the existing door on the right of the second image.) Client is very happy, and so am I :-)

21.01.2022 And... Just in case u were wondering...the door is glued up and ready for a good sanding (that will remove those brown filler spots u can see) before it's oiled and fitted. Some progress pics here... Will follow up once the oil goes on... It's going to look sooo much better!

21.01.2022 Loving this coffee table I've recently delivered to a client in Coffs Harbour...ply wood construction, stained black and finished in a hard polyurethane coating... little bit of sculpting in the top edges... I also incorporated metal rails for added strength and stability.

20.01.2022 Also made some bluegum shelves with a live edge according to client's design - had lots of fun putting them together without straight edges... Very happy with the result and they look fantastic in client's home... Breaks up the concrete wall with a lovely warm timber feel...

20.01.2022 Hey all... So I know it's been a while since I've posted but rest assured there has been plenty happening! Just finished a kauri pine board for a client - sanded, stained and poly coat for use as a kitchen bench top. The stain really highlighted the grain patterns! Also delivered a coffee table to a happy client last week. Photos and details of that to follow soon. Next project is an artist's easel for a client bound to a wheelchair... A challenge that has definitely got the design juices flowing! Updates on that once I've nailed the prototype. Stay tuned...

18.01.2022 Assisted in the installation of this 5 metre long custom blackbutt kitchen bench top, side cupboard bench top and microwave cabinet last week... looks amazing!

10.01.2022 I'm all for repurposing good timber! Added a bevel to some old decking boards for a client this week so they can be used as skirting.

08.01.2022 Hey there... Yes I know I haven't posted in a while but rest assured I've been working hard - finishing long term projects and making new ones... Here's some pics of three bentwood chair seat surfaces that I restored for a client. One needed a whole new seat which I veneered using flame myrtle and the other two were sanded, stained and finished in a gloss polyurethane... I'm proud to say another very happy client!

08.01.2022 Love having happy customers! We needed a privacy screen for our verandah and the more commercially available options just didnt suit. Sarah is the consummate professional. She listened to our concerns regarding the right fit for our home and gave us advice, possible options and constant feedback during the process of design, construction and installation. 06.01.2022 I also really enjoy making timber boards - I will often use off cuts to build them and I like to incorporate some end grain elements to highlight the beautiful patterns in all parts of the timber. Get in touch if you would like one made for your kitchen or serving needs...

05.01.2022 Also been doing quite a bit of timber work for walk in clients. Cutting, ripping sanding etc... This huge slab certainly tested my muscles through the big sander... Grain will come up beautifully when finished! Come and see us if you need any timber services :-)

I've been busy getting a few things ready for the Valla Expressions Art Show from 5th - 13th January. 03.01.2022 The "Winner Mirror"... my beautiful sister has won many trophies but didn't have the space to keep them all; so I came up with this concept as a way for her to remember them, save space and give herself a little boost of pride any time she caught her reflection. Can also be designed onto a pretty rotating timber tower... contact me if you need one of these for the winner(s) in your life!

03.01.2022 Finished installing a main front door and matching fly screen in a client's house last week. Super happy with end result! My client chose a lovely colour and painted them herself - a couple of touch ups and a nice new coat of white for the jam and it'll be perfect. All constructed from hardwood and toughened glass, they should last a lifetime and longer!

03.01.2022 Got back into some carving last week and made 4 differently styled bowls/platters from bowed offcuts supplied by a client who wanted to gift something unique this Christmas. The bigger one is even reversible. Not only lots of fun to see the pieces as they emerge, but a great way to repurpose timber that would otherwise be put aside for firewood...

03.01.2022 I have also recently made a rather unique letter box for the workshop/gallery using bits and pieces I found around the shed and mounting it all into a branch with three limbs...check out the construction process pics. The branch has significance to Tree-O, the name of the furniture gallery that myself and two business partners are working towards being open to the public by the end of the year! Exciting!!! (Apologies for poor quality of pics...)

01.01.2022 I do love the first coat of oil on a piece... Brings out the colours and the grain so beautifully... The door has had two coats in this pic - one more to go before fitting in client's house next week... Very pleased with the result and ready for the next project.
