17.01.2022 With women’s representation on Government boards and committees increasing from 33.8% in 2015 to 46.4% 2020, our Women on Board’s Strategy is working. Launched today, the 2020-25 Strategy encourages more women like Penny to take on leadership and board roles, creating a more inclusive Tasmania. Working as a builder for a decade, Penny is now a Director of a Building and Architectural company and is a shining example of what woman working in non-traditional industries can achieve. Well done Penny! https://www.communities.tas.gov.au//Women-on-Boards-Strate

17.01.2022 Our Healthcare Future is our long term health strategy to ensure we’re delivering the right care, in the right place, at the right time as much as possible. As part of the strategy, we are seeking input from important stakeholder groups like the Association of Independent Retirees who represent the interest of Tasmanians. If you would like to contribute, you can have your say by making a written submission and speaking to a member of the Department of Health. For more information on Our Healthcare Future and how you can contribute visit www.health.tas.gov.au/ourhealthcarefuture.

09.01.2022 Baby Lewis is testament to the saying ‘good things come in small packages’. Lewis is one of more than 300 babies to benefit from donated breast milk as part of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) program to help improve the survival rates of preterm babies. Sourced from Brisbane, the pasteurised donor human milk is safe to use with strict screening and testing, helping babies to grow healthy and strong in the absence of their mother’s milk.
