25.01.2022 When I first started my coaching journey, I wish someone had told me just how powerful the right CRM (Customer Relationship Management System) can be for your business. I mean I'm a biz research nerd so I'd looked into various off the shelf CRM's before, but I never understood the full potential of managing your customer journey and finding the right system that aligns with your business and enables you to get time back! Before I found @dubsado everything was done manua...lly, it was clunky and not a streamlined experience. But now, I'm able to take clients through the journey from setting up a discovery call, automate emails and reminders, send through their contracts, questionnaire, invoices, portal guide and schedule all upcoming appointments all in the one place. At the end of our journey together I have feedback forms and testimonial reminders ready to go. It gives me the peace of mind I need to know I'm not only being efficient with my time, but I'm also adding to the customer experience. Now I know there are a multitude of others out there and some may work better for your business depending on the industry you're in, or you may even create your own! Whatever the case is, you need to put systems in place so you can nurture your client journey. What is something you’ve recently discovered that you wish you knew ages ago? See more

24.01.2022 Did you know I attracted more of my ideal clients by using the "" emoji? Why? Because I was reverse engineering their own use of that same emoji within their bio. It all comes down to psychology, do you see yourself in this person, do you relate to them, does it feel familiar? You only have so many seconds when someone comes across your profile, so you need to amplify that buying behaviour as much as possible. You're not only trying to communicate who you are, what yo...u offer and who for, you also want to build rapport in those few seconds. I know for me, as soon as I see certain emojis I know they are my person and I'm going to relate to their content. Think about the people you follow, do they use the same emojis you do? Does it emit any emotion? I use a few different emojis that are as apart of my branding as my wild west puns. But you'll also see me use certain emojis that mirror what my ideal customers use as well. Think outside of the box with your strategy and look at it on a micro level. See more

23.01.2022 Recently one of my videos went "viral", I'd seen this happen to others and thought this is it, this is when all my ideal customers will see my content and I'll gain new eyeballs on my services. But that was absolutely not the case. We get so caught up in seeing these big numbers and think that equals success. What actually happened was sure I got a lot of views, but looking through who actually liked it were not my ideal audience AT ALL vs one of my other reels that didn't... receive nearly as many views yet I gained more ideal followers and engagement from that post. Sure, it comes down to being consistent so that the algorithm can learn and show it to the right people. But what I'm going to focus on is quality videos that enable engagement and if it gets shown to a wider pool of "lookalikes" even better. But my strategy is not to go viral, it's to build rapport with my current audience. Stop focusing on views and trying to go viral, serve your current audience first and aim for engagement. See more

21.01.2022 I figured it had been a while since I reintroduced myself but this time I wanted to do something a little different. Ya'll know I'm obsessed with leather jackets, boots and strategy. So we'll skip the formalities. I wanted to chat about the passions I have outside of my business, and I'd love to know more about yours too!... So, for those playing along at home, here we go: I have been OBSESSED with Egyptology since the ripe ol age of 5 when the Prince of Egypt came out and then at 12 when I got the fortnightly Ancient Egypt Magazine which came with mini statues that still have pride of place on my desk today. Basically I grew up wanting to be Lara Croft. Ancient history has a very large part of my heart and I follow a lot of archaeology, palaeontology, anthropology, basically all the ology accounts. Some of my biggest goals in life is to visit Hatshepsuts temple, the Cairo and British museum, Pompeii, New Grange, Machu Picchu, Murujuga, Chichen Itza, volunteer at an archaeological dig, volunteer in marine and jungle conservation and volunteer in a museum (behind the scenes cataloguing). Another fact about me is that, I have a very eclectic/dark taste in art and furniture. Think Achille Devéria. I imagine my future home decked out with porcelain Tigers, artefacts and art lining the walls. I love to read and always have. Yes, I was the kid that read Nancy Drew. Apart from reading business and personal development, I love reading adventure and treasure hunting novels. Especially Clive Cussler and Matthew Reilly. My taste in music is far and wide, from Bollywood sound tracks to Riverdance, to Irish punk to heavy metal. But if I HAD to choose a playlist that I listen to over and over, it would include my favourites. The Dead South, The Rumjacks, Aurora, Amigo The Devil, Orville Peck, Colter Wall, Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash. So that's a massive chunk about me, possibly some you knew and others you didn't. What's something unique that makes you, you. See more

21.01.2022 Wondering how to optimise your Instagram as a photographer and wedding vendor? Here are my 10 tips: 1. Niche down (Wedding Photography, Product Photography, Family Photography, Landscape Photography, Documentary Photography) 2. Use the right hashtags and make sure to change them up 3. Show who you are behind the camera (your clients buy into you)... 4. Amplify styled shoots and collaborations (build rapport & visibility) 5. Create content pillars 6. Optimise your bio (just like your website, make sure to utilise key words) 7. Have a consistent branding palette 8. Put your core call to actions/packages in your highlights 9. Show where you are located and specify if you travel 10. Focus on shares, saves and comments not likes or follows. These can traverse through multiple creative industries, what tips are you going to implement? See more

15.01.2022 Question: Do you find yourself totally overwhelmed when setting goals, especially when you realise how big it actually is? This outlook leads to a fear of failure, an attitude of what’s the point? and a lot of procrasti-doing (when you feel like you’re being productive but in reality none of what you’re doing is getting you any closer to your end goal) however your room/office is probably in tip top shape. What I do instead is set these 3 goals to ens...ure I can identify whether I'm on track: - The "Stretch" Goal (it doesn’t matter how big, the world’s your oyster) - The "Realistic" Goal (The outcome you are confident that you can hit and remain on track with some consistent action) - The "Breakeven" Goal (Just like sales, you want a goal that you can reach that is at a level that you are happy to breakeven with) When you set these goals rather than just the one there's little to no room for disappointment because you've set yourself up a strategy with a buffer and targets to work towards. You should also identify WHY you want this goal, what does it actually mean. Numeric KPI's are great, but what does it look like, what's the purpose? Is getting $10K worth of sales the goal or is 10K your ticket to paying off the next few months of rent. Is gaining 500 new subscribers on your email list the goal? Or is it because you're wanting a conversion rate of 10% when your new offer comes out? Look at WHY you want this goal and what this goal/milestones entail. From there, break those goals down even further into actionable tasks. This makes the entire process A LOT less daunting. Do you struggle with chunking down your goals or find yourself disappointed when you don't reach the desired outcome? Try setting these three goals instead! See more

14.01.2022 You need to audit your feed like you are a visual merchandiser. Are you showing who you are? Are you showcasing behind the scenes? What value are you brining to your audience? ... Is it cohesive like walking through a well merchandised store? Or is it like searching through a last minute bargain bin with items tossed in with everything else? Think of it like someone walking into a shop, when you start "merchandising" your feed it will come more naturally and the feeling of overwhelm will subside. I know when I go into a shop and everything is everywhere I don't know where to start looking. Where as if the products are "curated" in a way that's visually appealing I'm more likely to stick around, look and find what I need. So when you look through your feed are you accurately representing your brand and what you offer? Is it going to be easy for your audience to find what they need? Do an audit of your feed and cross reference this with the top posts in you insights. If you find that your top performing posts are more curated, have a strong call to action or are clearly showcasing who you are and what you do, it might be worth changing up your social strategy to amplify these further to ensure you are creating a memorable experience for your audience. Don't make them feel like they're rummaging through a bargain bin. See more

06.01.2022 Are you making any of these mistakes in your business? 1. Not having a clear contract or deposit (cover your tush!) 2. Not charging enough or valuing your worth (identify your operations to ensure you're factoring in time, effort and overheads) 3. Not telling the client the workflow or being transparent... 4. Not creating rapport with clients beforehand (make sure you meet virtually or in person if you're service based!) 5. Not putting yourself out there and thinking work will come to you 6. Not being clear on what you offer 7. Not niching down or being clear on who you serve 8. Not showing the person behind the brand (your audience want to know who's behind the business) 9. Comparing yourself to others in your industry (if you're in your head you're dead) 10. Using a scatter gun approach If you are, what are you going to mitigate first? See more

04.01.2022 Hold onto your hat, we're about to charge into the week ahead and I am so excited to get stuck into it. What’s on for you this week?

03.01.2022 What impression are you painting of your business? First impressions happen in a matter of seconds and they are crucial. Whether that’s on your Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Website, Youtube, whatever platform you are on, your content sets an initial expectation and impression of who you are as a brand and what you offer. Since we’re on Instagram, I want you to get your hand and cover your bio, without it, does your feed represent your brand and can you identify what... it is that you offer just by glancing at the initial 9 posts? If not, something needs to give. For example, when you go onto a new profile, if it doesn’t resonate with you or you have difficulty figuring out what they even do, how quickly do you jump back out? I know for me, it’s a matter of SECONDS. If I don’t get that initial connection or I struggle with finding what that person is offering, I’m outta there. Think of it like a bounce rate similarly to what you have on your website. Put yourself in your customers shoes and see how easy it is to figure out who you are, what you’re offering and whether your branding paints a picture of who you are as a business. So take a look, what do you see? See more

02.01.2022 Okay, case study time. Ya'll are in for a treat because this man right here is one of the best. I'm talking personal brand and how to absolutely rock the sh*t out of it. I'm talking about the man, the myth, the legend, @orvillepeck... This fringed cowboy, is the epitome of how to stand in your own uniqueness and solely focus on what YOU bring to the table. An interview Orville did with the Sydney Morning Herald by @rodericko_yahtez stated "Not to get too funny and ironic, but [in the past] I think I was putting on different masks," he says. "I think a lot of us do it every day. Putting on different faces or personas that we think are palatable because we feel we need to project something to get ahead in life. "Whenever I went through stages like that it was the ultimate killer of anything creative that was inside of me, because it forced me to do everything from someone else's perspective and not my own. So when I finally found the courage to be myself, it made a huge difference." And with that, sums up exactly why I absolutely adore Orville. His mask isn't about creating anonymity it's about diving deeper into creativity and not being constrained by societal norms, he has the ability to craft his own identity and stand in his own unique persona. Which is exactly what I want for you. Find what makes you unique, find what makes you stretch, find that thing that helps you amplify your own identity and use that to stand out from the crowd. If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place, so why do we feel the need to try and be like everyone else? Be you, be unique, because ultimately you are the benefit of your business, your clients buy into YOU. See more
