20.05.2022 Looking back on the year is always a bit hard. For some reason a lot of the struggles stand out the most. Although as I go through my photos and the feelings around them its hard to ignore the progression and development. The way I see the world is constantly evolving and my understanding of the innate human relationship with our environment deepens. My hopes for the new year, and the many ones to follow, is that we start listening to our planet and tune in to its frequencies.... There is so much we can learn from nature about the world and ourselves. This year I have been so lucky to travel to some small parts of our beautiful earth in my van and I cannot wait to continue this learning experience in the new decade! And with my beautiful doggo by my side - of course :P Thank you so much to all the beautiful humans out there who continue to support and inspire me to do what I love most <3 See more

05.05.2022 It has been an emotional few weeks for me and I have been searching for the right way to vocalise what I am feeling. With everything going on with the Climate Summit and the Global Week for Future. I attended the Climate Strike here in Melbourne along with 150,000 other beautiful souls. On my way to the peaceful protest in the CBD I stood on the full train platform with such a diverse group of solemn people. I was overcome with emotion and had to blink through my tears. Ther...e was a truckload of unforgiving feelings coming right at me. Sadness, anger, fear, shame, frustration, guilt, hopelessness - to name a few. I began to question if I had the strength to continue into the city. While seemingly drowning in these waves of emotion I pushed through because the environment has always been there for me. Always supported and nourished me. So I can be strong for it. In the city I met up with a group of about 30 people I am proud to call my friends. They helped me see everything through a new lens. A hopeful lens. There were so SO many inspiring people who cared, all crammed into one city block. I am very proud of my community who stood up for what they believe in and what is right. And although I am still terrified I know that the time for action has come. Change will follow and we as humans decide what form that change will take. I hope for each and every being on this planet that this momentum continues. And that the inevitable change will be for the best. One of my biggest aims with my photography is to challenge preconceived ideas of what a beautiful landscape is. Because every part of this world is beautiful. Every drop of rain. Every cloud. Every dark day and cold morning. I want to remind everyone that while we are stuck in society with our blinkers on the world still continues out there. It doesn’t go away just because you can’t see it. Just like your single use coffee cups. - - - #roamearth #moodygrams #earthofficial #ourplanetdaily #yourshotphotographer #letsgosomewhere #newzealand #nzmustdo #milfordsound #travelnewzealand #lensbible #lifeofadventure #earthfocus #natgeo #natgeotravel #artofvisuals #earth #roamtheplanet #globalclimatestrike See more
