14.01.2022 Thrilled to hear the very talented photographer & stylist / artist, @naomimawsonphotographer received an Honourable Mention for Black & White Child Photography. . When I say she’s a stylist & artist, as well as photographer, I really do mean that in the truest sense. . Naomi saw my latest gallery exhibition at @balmainspace some months back. ... The headpiece you see in Naomi’s shot is in fact a woven sculpture piece that I had hanging on a wall. To see this form & instantly have the creative juices going in seeing how else to create is how an artist’s mind works. Congrats Naomi! Well deserved. And so too to her gorgeous model @miss_soraia. . . FYI Naomi has only a few spots for these magical sessions each month - hit her up if you’re keen to book a session. .

And if you find trash outside make sure to pick it up safely and wash your hands!! Debris, trash, litter, discarded resources...whatever you call it, it's everywhere, and we all create it. But what if there were a way to creatively reexamine our relationship with debris? There is! The MDI Biological Laboratory is teaming up with eco-artist Mariah Reading to explore how trash can be turned into art and used to raise awareness of the impact of debris in our local environments
12.01.2022 A cracka of a full moon softly dipping beyond the horizon this morning. . I watched her drop gently & gracefully. Mmmm. And yet science tells me it was in fact me on my tiny spinning rock that moved; she didn’t drop at all.... . Ain’t perspective wild?! It’s never illusive, its kinda guaranteed. And somehow that has us think it’s count-on-able. . Watching the poles stretch across the planet:- hot / cold, red / blue, dem / rep, black / white, flood / fire, life / death.... it begs the remembering:- . I am you. You are me. . It's my own personal unknown that is being revealed the more I create from a place of flow and joy. When this is my foundation, I am not in any way in my head, in fact my head is superfluous. . My experience is that I am feeling and sensing my way through to what next action to take; what next colour to pick; what way to apply the paint .... it truly is all an unknown in process, in outcome and in who I get to be in along the journey. . And I shake my head at the remarkable privilege it is to have this available to me in my art making and in my day to day living. . "Kaleidoscope" .
