22.01.2022 Want a stocking filler or gift for your teacher? Nothing means more than 'giving' in 2 ways - saying 'thank you' and supporting the Steven Walter Children's Cancer Foundation at the same time. You can't go wrong! Fill out the order form and email it to [email protected] to make sure you get it in time for Christmas

09.01.2022 It's nearly that time... please make sure you get your order in early! Thank you

08.01.2022 Unfortunately some of our favourite jars have sold out and we are unable to get them prior to Christmas. We have introduced the Oxford (small) clear jar with a natural timber lid to replace the popular 'Baby Vibe'. Still an absolute bargain in a beautiful box and you can add a Sarah's Charity Christmas sticker for free. Please make sure you get your orders in soon. Christmas is just around the corner.

06.01.2022 We received this beautiful email yesterday from Sue Walter (Steven Walter Children's Cancer Foundation). Marcel Smith entered a recent photographic competition and with his permission we have included his email & photograph. Also included is Sarah during 2017 (cited below) and in current health (2020).... This again highlights the reason why Sarah's Charity Candles supports this amazing Foundation. "Hi you wonderful Steven Walter Foundation people, My first Snowy Ride was in 2003 on my Honda Hornet 600. I hadn’t heard of the ride before then. Since then, I have only missed one, so that is 16 rides that I have done - one on the Hornet 600, one on a Honda VT 750 cruiser, two on a Honda VTX 1300 cruiser, seven on a Honda ST 1300 and five on my current Honda CB 500X. My wife, Beryl, has been my pillion passenger on most of the rides and we have often been accompanied by other South Aussies who we have recruited to the cause. I was hoping to get to twenty rides before I got too old (I am 64), but I do understand the reasons why the Ride is coming to an end. Because I live in South Australia, getting to Thredbo and back by various routes makes for a good break away from the office. It sure can be challenging though. We have ridden through forty degree heat, snow, strong winds, pouring rain, near misses with kangaroos and even feral deer, but that is all part of the challenge. There are two things that make the Snowy Ride extra special for me: 1. I lived in the Snowy Mountains from 1959 to 1961 inclusive, at first in Eucumbene while the dam was being built (the town no longer exists) then two winters in Cabramurra and one year in Cooma. So, going on the Snowy Ride is like a bit of a homecoming. 2. My mother died of breast cancer in 1964 and the my daughter-in-law died in 2014 of what started as a sarcoma in her leg and ended up in her lungs. Her name was Sarah, so seeing young Sarah who also had a sarcoma walking on crutches on the stage at Thredbo brought tears to the eyes of my wife and I. I hate cancer with a passion! It is so cruel to see it in children, so I long to see a cure for all forms of it. Thank you so much for organising the Snowy Ride. Best wishes, Marcel Smith"
